sjm9876 is off for a while past the 25th, which makes things awkward. Hmm. I'm not sure whether I should auto him, or introduce another player. Either way, I'm not oversure how to integrate it.

The bounties seem to be for various rogues.

Inside the bar, the air is buzzing with conversation. The bartender is a huge, overweight man, bald head nearly brushing the thick wooden beams that span the ceiling.
"The Sleeper? Oh, you're talkin' about the poster outside. The burandi put that up. All part of their religious beliefs. We're all creations of the Sleeper, some kind of god who created the world then fell asleep. It's all about accepting your fate, so they're all pacifists. Means we got to hire adventurers to go clear out nasties so they don't get et.

Interested in the job, eh? You an adventurer? Ain't never seen get-up like yours before."

Before she could answer, Collete and Kyle burst into the pub and hug her forcefully.

The barman looks on in mystification.

Kyle looks at the barman.
"Hello, I wanted to ask about the Suldan mentioned in one of the posters."

Collete goes back to get the bit of paper about the daemon, presumably missing the barman's reply to Kyle, then rushes back in to slam it down on the counter/bar/whatever. The barman, naturally, receives a look demanding an explanation.

Basically what KJ said, though it certainly doesn't help that I'm rather terrible anyways, and I may have screwed myself over by picking a mute, as I'm muuuch more inclined to have lengthy conversations than attempt to describe actions. Even with the gestures being understandable... I can't reasonably force myself just to have the conversations anyways, as I honestly can't see any way to convey everything in a remotely clear fashion.

Yeah, the fact people seem to have stopped posting in a prompt manner is somewhat disheartening. But a for RP... you're in an unknown town, surrounded by strange beings and strange people after you got executed. That doesn't make you think, feel, or want to say anything? You don't want to try to learn about the other characters or the world around you? He's got no comments whatsoever on the town? He's just standing still, looking straight ahead like a robot with no thoughts on it whatsoever?

Collete: I'm willing to either retcon you as having a tongue or just say you can do sign language which is equivalent to speaking, if you'd like.

On the RP note, it's also worth saying that a fair bit of character building doesn't necessarily even require speech (although wherever possible, speech is preferable, as it allows other characters to become involve.) Body language is a huge part of how individuals communicate, and can be read and used as a hook by other characters. Even if they aren't, they still tell a huge amount -
For example, Kyle is a thief. he might check to see if the ant people are carrying wallets. It's the kind of thing that deepens the world and the character at the same time. Developing the plot isn't always strictly necessary.
If all that fails, there's always monologues. (although I find they grate if used unnaturally, which is most of the time)

I've enjoyed reading this. Somewhat hesitant to submit a character because I'm not very confident in my RP. Maybe in the future.

Subject pats Collete's head, a little unsure of why, but enjoying said hug. "I wonder what bought this on?"

She turn to the Barkeep "Maybe, I would need to know a little more about the job before I could say if it in my league. As for my get up, it the fashion for my 'home'."
