She looks surprised at the reply, then chuckles slightly.

'I was raised to it.'

Her face falls back into a frown, before she starts to speak again abruptly.

'But what were you raised to? I've never seen one like you before.'

Kyle shrugs.
"I was bornthe in the city. Lots of people, many tall buildings, and the law is bad at their job... excluding the royal guard from the law even if catching me was pure luck."

'I was actually asking about them.'

Orchea points to Kyle's claws.

'Cross the wrong mage?'

Kyle looks offended.
"I'm a lizard man! And it's hard trying to climb without them isn't it?"

'Lizardman? You're somewhat on the scrawny side aren't you?

As for climbing, I grew up on the plains. Claws generally indicated that their owner was trying to eat you.'

She prods Kyle gently with the spear butt.

'Not going to try and eat us, are you?'

Kyle shakes his head.
"I only eat women with their express consent."

Orchea glances round, smirking slightly.

'Looks like you're going hungry then.'

Kyle snorts and takes a bite of his ration.
"Please, I wait at least an hour before asking... Oh wait."

Subect checks her wound before dismissing as minor. "Must be nice to have a perferant for food. We ate regardless of gender, the only rule was they had to be dead."

Orchea raises an eyebrow at this but carries on walking.

Kyle nods looking a bit concerned following after Orchea.

Collete silently follows the others.

Subject notices the others walking away. She hurries after them.

An Overgrown Forest Path

Four rations have been consumed.

After a quick meal, you return to walking through the forest. Slowly, the trees begin to thin out around you, and four-horned deer dart between trunks no longer crusted with moss. The path widens, and eventually you find yourself walking into an unbroken sea of grass, the wind blowing crescents across the emerald green growth. The path disappears into the long stalks.

The Wind-Blown Plains - By The Spritewood

In the distance, you can see the smoke of fires - a town is clearly that way. The sun is low in the sky, though, and you would probably arrive far after dark. You can see herds of large creatures wander across the distant grass flats, stopping occasionally to graze, though none are nearby.

A large stone monument is nearby, a single pillar jutting from the ground like a broken tooth. The deeply carved pictographs show a being with four eyes and four arms grappling with a more humanoid figure with none. The ground around the monolith is cleared of grass, and the ashes of a week-old firepit show that some kind of people must travel around here. Maybe they travel into the sprite's forest?
