Its...not usually a good thing to assume it gets easier before it actually, imperically proves itself to get better.

Turn 0: A Lot To Take In


Name: Veselin.  (Refuses to make his surname public, for legal reasons)
Description: A corporate executive turned space pirate, Veselin suffered a major injury due to a malfunctioning knife.  No longer able to crew a ship, he started an underground construction and development company serving his fellow criminals.  His company, Hidden Hideouts, has been involved in the construction of many a pirate base in the well-developed systems.

Veselin appears to be of unidentified South Slavic ancestry.  He is a tall, slim man, with a taste for fine suits.  He appears to be somewhat old, albeit not elderly (perhaps in his 40s?).  His left arm lacks strength and is awkward to use, due to the knife malfunctioning incident.

Sponsor: A reasonably important Mafia family that recognizes the future importance of the Fulares system.
Location: An out-of-the-way temperate rainforest planet.
Purpose: Construction of a hideout/base of operations for criminal activity.

The Heshva crime family wants you to establish their stronghold in the Fulares system. Specifically, there's a relatively small, frozen gas giant around the outer rim, one of the moons of which has a surprisingly insulating atmosphere. Anything you build there should be very well hidden under giant trees and odd weather patterns.

Name: Maxwell Denning
Description: A middle aged man of wealth and taste, Maxwell is the well established founder of Star Gold Capital, a renown hedge fund. No nonsense and relatively straight laced, Denning always goes where the money is and isn't afraid of not doing things "by the book" as it were

The Chin Gang is a criminal organization that styles itself as a mafia family. In practice, however, the gang is so small and brutal that they get more business acting as assassins and enforcers than by rigging anything illegal themselves. They want you to establish a place to send people they don't want coming back, conveniently located on a sandy desert world that supposedly once held vast oceans.


Name:Zack Abrams
Description: An albino, which should explain a lot, with hair that reaches down to the back of his head. He wears a white suit and black shoes.

Location: Artificial planet almost exactly the same as Earth, with one difference. The ozone layer isn't torn to shreds.
Purpose: Create a weapon of mass destruction.

Tachyon Research Ltd would like you to establish some manner of death cannon on a frighteningly toxic and seemingly polluted world. They're not sure what could have caused the current conditions of this green death sentence, especially in a system that's supposed to be undeveloped, but they figure conditions will be perfect for hiding a weapon of mass destruction.

Location:Moon of the tropical beach planet
Purpose:Create an amazing amusement park for the not so well to do denizen of this system:D

Description: A man who has stuck to the principle of 'Treat others the way you want to be treated' for over 30 years. Of course, this has landed him deeply in debt due to him just not having enough money to make a personal theme park for all of his friends, family and even acquaintances. To pay it all off, he was forced to work as a labour camp architect by a sadistic company.

Location: A scorching hot desert planet.
Purpose: To make a labour camp.

Description: An artificial General intelligence, which, sadly, due to budget constraints, isn't that much better than normal intelligence

Location: A resource rich dwarf planet, deep inside the asteroid belts
Purpose: Design, build and operate the largest fleet in the Quadrant. First step, building a shipyard and mining operation.

Construct: The Fulares Council, a building for us contractors to discuss matters together, doubling as a base of operations for RRR® in this system and a small spacedock.

Manufacture: Legal documents staking claim to half the desert moon, right down to its core and possible atmosphere.

Research: Obstructive bureaucratic loops to throw others into.

Free action: Make a claim to investigate the scan readings beneath the moon's surface, and to find a way to turn their source into profit, whatever it may be.

((How interesting that almost everyone has a goal that could be perceived as "evil". This system won't be a nice place to be in.))

Construct : Foundry Alpha, a large factory/mining ship capable of mining entire asteroids independently, and also provided with  limited construction capabilities. It's giant, impressive, as well as near defenseless and slow. In practice, it will be faster to bring asteroids to it rather than the other way around. It's also completely automated.

Manufacture: Surveyor, a sensor ship capable of determining the mineral composition of all asteroids in this system, and provided with limited defensive capabilities. As is everything, completely automated.

Research : Tractor beams. A system to easily tug asteroids, or other things of interest.

Construct: Build basic (prefabricated) colony structures on the planet, complete with all the sorts of things a prospective colony needs, such as a giant soft drinks factory in the centre.

Manufacture: a run of basic mining and geological survey equipment.


Research: Research the conditions on this planet, and how to adapt equipment to it.

Free Action?: Advertise for prospective colonists.

Construct: Construct a basic landing zone and holding area where ships will land and drop off supplies and new residents.

Manufacture: The legal documents for the other half of the moon, if I am on the same moon as Icytea.

Research: Research a new machine to produce guns en masse using as little manpower as possible. Safety is optional.

Construct: A criminal hideout on the forest moon, complete with a spaceship hangar, a vault, an armoury, living quarters, a drug production lab, and an administrative wing, as well as anything else necessary.

Manufacture: A set of small, fast, and lightly-armed goods transportation spaceships.  Each is to have a drug lab.

Research: High-end building camouflage/counter-detection coverings, designed to stop visual, heat, radar, and mental (if possible) detection.  Distribute any knowledge gained from this freely among criminal organizations and their contractors.

Construct: Monitoring Station in the middle of the system, with current goal of locating most habitable planets in system, that are likely to be colonized as major population centers.

Manufacture: Thousands of stealth probes to be used by the monitoring station

Research: "Handwave" memory eradication system. Uses a synapse altering process known as "The Force" to disrupt the short term memory of common sapients, and allow for basic alteration ("These are not the droids you are looking for")
