Rest.
"So they can shatter impact-resistant glass with enough effort, eh?"

You do remember what was there last time the group went there, right? And you're only going in with, what, two people right now?

I'm not saying that it's going to be filled with enemies, I'm just saying that the last time the group did this sort of thing where one person goes off into danger alone that person ended up in vague danger of dying to some relatively weak enemies. Repeating mistakes is likely to result in similar or worse situations.

Rest.
"So they can shatter impact-resistant glass with enough effort, eh?"
Partially shatter, as in, only break the section of the glass around where you were hitting, after an exhausting amount of hitting.

Well,no offense but you don't update fast enough for me to consider getting everyone together and going in as a group.

I'll admit I don't update very fast at times, but I hardly think a fast update speed is needed to ask people to come with you, in character or out of character. You aren't forbidden from making more than one post per turn. Nor are you forbidden from talking to other players.

This is something everyone in this RTD doesn't seem to get: You can talk to one another. Yes, even out of character. I literally have no rules against this. Yet, nobody seems to be using this ability.

You can even ask me things out of character, if you must know and they won't spoil anything. Another thing nobody seems to be using.

I have literally no use for that so far, though.
Actually, what us the strongest material my scythe-appendages can shatter in one hit?

I'm no scientist on how strong a mantis' arms would be on a human-sized creature, nor am I a scientist on materials, and the dice always modify the result. Plus, there's a difference between stabbing and slashing.

But on a 10 or average roll, for slashing, I'd say a few panes of standard glass in most windows of modern day. On a good roll, 15+, I'd say a few more. On a 20, probably quite a few. Hard to be specific. But really, I'm not too sure why you'd want to shatter things with your arm. Most things like, say, a good rock, would be more effective. I don't think mantis appendages were evolved to use blunt force.

And in fact, what it can shatter gives almost no information as to how effective it would be against a metal armor or flesh.

Would my scythes be able to cut through human flesh? Also, how effective would they be against metal armour.
And I wouldn't be able to hold rocks very well.
Also, does anyone want any food.

You'd be able to puncture human flesh, but not cut. You'd be using the spines/spikes, which would get stuck in place unless you have a particularly forceful swing. The arm itself would not be able to cut, only bash.

Also, just because you can't hold rocks doesn't mean someone else can't use rocks. You know, cooperation.

That argument is entirely pointless because the game has optional roleplaying. If you paint yourself into a corner with roleplaying, it is only your fault if you continue to stay in that corner due to roleplay.
