The game actually runs very very well. It has been optimized something fierce.

Also for anyone on the fence me and the gang just triumphed over an enormous black alien turtle with a star shaped shell and jet thrusters.

He shot around the arena like a low flying jet plane.

I'd have said 'like a rocket sled' because that's more literal.  He pretty much jumps forward, lands on his belly (shell up) and then slides across the arena to ram people.  We also did this quest/boss with some severely underleveled players.

Yep, two 20+'s, myself and ygg, and girl annnnnd I want to say Fluid Dynamite were below 10. On a late 20s quest.

You can certainly stay alive in late game missions as a low level, and with a little elbow grease it's not too bad to take down the little guys.

I also believe I saw girl and Fluid teaming up on big guys a couple of times and handling them pretty well.

For shit and giggles, I'll try for Force Cast because why not.

It's obviously the best idea (and also something I'm already doing ^^, although I was interrupted a tiny way into the tutorial x-x). I'm playing as 'Yae'. Huh, nevermind, despite being pretty sure I selected the robot one I apparently ended up with 'Dewman'.

Creating a new character because, uh, only just finished the tutorial.

Force are good, but seem to have a slow buildup time.  Rangers seem to have decent strength from the get-go and that only raises, but a Force starts pretty weak and then slowly accelerates towards something impressive.  The main limiter is the long casting time and reliance on PP - I spend a lot of time running in circles avoiding attacks waiting to cast the next spell.

Bought 4 star stuff from player shops because hunting the specific rare talisman and staff are a pain. Still outmatched by my rare gunblade.

Any easier way to level the technics or at least get bigger AoE.

My hunter is coming along pretty well at least :X
So far I think these gunblade things are my favorite weapon class. Fast, deal reasonable damage, and can change into a rifle for ranged attacks! Plus it looks and acts like a rapier which is kick-ass.

And lo! Sirus did drive his mighty party truck unto Vegas, and it was good.

Yeah, I find that as a hunter, gunblades are your only light weapon option. Partisans, while not tooo bad, are fairly slow, and wired lances have very strange hitboxes.

I was playing as Mezzo, and geez does the game require more focus when everything is an instant kill.
Still, running quests out of level boosts you up really fast; From level 1 to 9 in one play session is pretty decent.

Bought a +4 rare grenade launcher. It has a bunch of bonus stats as well and its like 3k. Man those first 7 star weapons are cheap.

Worth noting, once things are grinded and extended to max, they all come out about equal.  Every rod with +10 grind and maximum extensions ends up 1047 or 1046 T-ATK.  From 1star to 11star, they all cap at the same level.  The big differences is that low-star weapons take more extensions to get there, so it's more costly, and high-star weapons lose their hidden dexterity bonus when extended.

The game is really built around letting you use any weapon you want and powering it up.  You can get the base stats the same on any weapon, and you can change attributes (fire damage boost) and abilities (+10 T-ATK) by burning one item to put those stats onto another item.  It'd take effort, but you could definitely get a level 1 peashooter up to godly level.
