couple of problems

one, these mortars have an effective range of 70m, and they're 150m away from the road. quite shitty.

two, still need to know where to put the hetzer SPC

Scheiße, 70m only for mortars? What is this madness? If it's not locked in, I wouldn't mind the mortar squads being placed somewhere closer and with cover (behind buildings, preferably). Up to you on that. Alternatively, we may be able to have them relocate as part of our turn, maybe. As for the Hetzer, I'll leave that decision for whoever bought it or may be piloting it.

Since I evidently didn't post this -snip-

I'm thinking that my layout will be this:
Mortars x1 (20R)
Motrobike w/MG42 x2 (30R)
Panzer I x1 (50R)

Squad:
2 Medics
1 Communications Officer (Armed with handgun )
2 Snipers
5 Riflemen
4 Anti-tankmen
3 Submachine gunner
3 Machine gunner

Already placed your stuff, but not the squad (if it's separate from the ones already on the map).

I saw it, troops are deployed. You have a sizable army at your hands.
Awesome and thanks. I was posting this because I couldn't find it looking back and someone said they were unsure how my participation factored in.

Awesome. And it is separate. Where would be the most strategic place to station?

For ease of placement on Smurfington, I suggest dividing those into two groups and using deductive reasoning. Just check the map and base it on that. Two immediate ideas:

1. A group stationed in the bowl/small pond depression directly south of the northwest woods.
2. A group stationed in the washouts/road directly left of the south and center-most farm.

Hmm. Excellent, I'm essentially already set up to do so, assuming I to am carrying a radio. Which I may not be... Smurf, am I carrying a radio or would I have to have requisitioned it?

I believe it has to be requisitioned for 25R; it would come with a comms officer.

Right, but I only have one comms officer. Unless my second squad could use someone else's radio, we are radio-less. Unless...  Make one of those riflemen a comms officer instead, also armed with a handgun. Would that work?

Bu-but I just finished! Do it now.

Big map!

[2] Kraut Command forgot most of the sandbags and the AP mines. [5] However, you got a double crate of AT mines and some extra rookies to man cannon. Winning! [5] Your engineers set up perfect defenses,
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
using the extra mines to excellent effect. [4] Infantry get into position. [3] Mortar crews relocate to behind buildings, and in the bowl-shaped depression top-right.

Turn 1: Preparation

Any last minute changes, do it now. Infantry, state your positions. Tankmen, you're all crewing the Hetzer, so drive it where you please. Officers, last chance to order troops around.

[2]

Enemy trucks will be here next round.

((Sorry for the late update, reality is being a shithead))

Fine-tune the positions, make sure everyone is in cover and get ready for the convoy.

((I originally supported massive defense battles but now I'd prefer some squad combat actually.))

I'm in the house (barn?) just to the left of the pond.

G2g, summer minisession's starting in 30 mins, haven't had a good chance to look but how about I'll be in the specialist fire team & will blow the first/southern-most charge when Hauptmann Kamin orders, (first vehicle that passes?).

All right you two uh, follow the general's orders for now, and try not to wreck the Hetzer; we're a bit on a budget right now, and vehicles are hard to replace, what with the steel shortages and all.

Failing direct orders, you are to hide behind the nearest source of cover and ambush any targets of opportunity that come up. Unless they're "pak"ing extra heat on them, there shouldn't be anything you can's handle, but stay hidden as best you can regardless.

I want to be between those two rows of hay bales, with a vantage point on the road. I'll shoot through the gaps between the bales Find somewhere with decent cover and a good vantage point.Preferably inside a building.

Are you sure that's a good place to be? Hay bales don't stop bullets, you know?
