I can get you a Panzer 1 or 2, they're the smallest I can get.

Panzer IIs it is then; though the prospect of drowning the enemy in hundreds of flimsy metal boxes is fun, that's more of a Soviet thing.

I just realised you could ask for a massive amount of infantry in this game with relative ease, as they're pretty cheap. You'd be screwed over by tanks/artillery/air support, though.

Only problem I can see is that if they bring armor, your infantry will get flattened, and that the cannon's lines of sight are blocked by buildings.

Also keep in mind that if you order lots of cannon, you'll need trucks or APCs to tow them.

Well it's just a suggestion of a rough strategy,I'd leave it to the general to decide what actually goes in where.

Also I don't see any artillery in the way.

Can we convert our older tanks into artillery tractors and/or SPGs TDs later in the game (seeing as Germany did a lot of that in the war)?

This is set just after the end of WW2, so most of the more modern tanks are already available. My favourites have to be the Panzer V Panther and Jagdpanther.

Looking at the map we would probably be better off moving the MG's and cannons a bit further back.

I've played RTS's before and tanks are generally a lot of trouble,it's easier to just get some explosives and artillery and use buildings or walls as cover.

In other words,infantry are easier to manage and are more verstile then tanks.

Oh boy, you've been playing all the wrong RTS games then. Although a pain in the ass to manage, they kick serious butt when given proper orders, and assaulting trenches without tanks is near impossible, unless you bring truckloads of grenades.

True,I guess it's because I prefer defense rather then offense,defense of course doesn't really support tanks.

You'd be better off with Pak 40's and Flak 18's. Or lots of land mines. Or both.
