The problem is that I am trying to build a neutral, adaptable character and that is hard to put into a static character sheet.
The real problem, I think, is that a perfectly neutral, adaptable character is literally just a blank sheet. You kind of need to break with your own concept to pull it off successfully, which is both counterintuitive and requires some potentially difficult decisions.
Can you post who you have decided to accept? You could also have people vote on the undecided ones, if you aren't sure who to chose.
This will probably be necessary. Um. I
do have my little unedited notes here, I suppose I could let people peer into my brainmeats directly...
Firalk Nivorik (Kevak), the Hyper White Wolf. Aspect of Life.
//Very neat. Bouncy life puppy.
Mort (Pancaek), the Dutiful Black Spider. Aspect of Death.
//Standard dutiful death god, eh. Also, "Mort?" Really?
Vanhurk Dorein (Zalkoz), the Noble Silver Bear. Aspect of Order.
//Wheeee pallybear!
Quinghai (GWG), the Calm Golden Sea Serpent. Aspect of Water.
//A bit on the dull side, plus the "excessive vengeance thing" sounds like adding disruptive to boring.
Aquilos (Beirus), the Impulsize Serpent. Aspect of Air.
//A bit manic and vague, but not necessarily bad.
//Uncontested within their fields, so that's good. As far as oveall merits, Life and Order are in, Death is bland but acceptable, Water is bland with a tinge of worrisome but acceptable, Air is a bit vague but acceptable.
Enkisar (Worldmaster), the Patient Brown Dragon. Aspect of Earth.
//Stereotypical slow earth thing.
Ormo'gom/Mog'omro (Propman), the Whimsical Golden Trousers. Aspect of Earth.
//Decent creation-stealer, except for the hurrr break physics thing, vague goals, and complete lack of obvious ties to Earth.
//Purely on this matchup, Enkisar wins on relevance. Really, I'm not sure Trousers fits an Aspect well enough to really win. Probably not far from any of them, but...
Nohpalli (Wwolin), Gluttonous Black Eidolon. Aspect of Fire.
//Greedy mobster-thug, essentially. Gluttonous but willing to work together.
Rotnus (blazing glory), the Judgmental White Serpent. Aspect of Fire.
//Interesting judge concept, marred by weird "tends to not show emotion" warning sign/thing of unclear meaning.
Karb'ring-Transmuter, Riddle of Enthalpy (Baldman), the Inquisitive Beige Gnome. Aspect of Fire.
//BAAAAALDMAAAAAAAAAAAAAN! Bizarre as usual, with some interesting bits but also worrying aspects. Hard to say.
//Eh... this one's kind of a tossup. Not sure if any of them are enough to challenge a different element.
Rassura (Lyeos), the Erratic Black Shark. Aspect of Chaos.
//Standard multiple personality vague chaos thing, blegh.
ZORLOC BLOODLORD OF KITTENS (Froggy), the Blank Beige Troll. Aspect of Chaos.
//"Fun based but surprisingly strong moral compass" sounds interesting. Everything else seems pretty eh.
//Tough. Chaos is a hard beast to tame, apparently.
In essence:
Order and Life are neat and I like them.
Air, Water, and Death are okay, but I have minor quibbles with them in one form or another.
Earth is a contest between okay but not great and something that really doesn't seem to have any Earth influences at all. I do
want people to get creative with their personalities and such, but Trousers really reads like what it is- a concept that's completely unrelated to its Aspect.
Chaos is a tossup between two stereotypically vague Chaos things. I like certain parts of each better than the other.
Fire is a really tough one. Boundless Gluttony is probably my first stable choice, with Judging Serpent close but second. Gnomedome's one of those wonky things that's anywhere from first to last place.
Done. I don't know if you would consider it "better", and I realized that there are some aspects of Kevak's apparently many of the others' characters' in it after I typed it up, but it's all I have in me right now. Dang, I need to be more original. Although I suppose everyone's idea of "balance" will be different.
I like this one more now. Much more personality, but still recognizable as a Chaos entity.
