"Life is not eternal. It ends. It controls itself, with the strong feeding on the weak until they weaken too much to do so. Regardless, is excess not desirable? Are you so selfish that you will deprive our creations of the surplus they generate?"
"And you, Ebullius. How dare you ask me not to change his blight, when the blight blights every aspect of every creation created by everyone? Why must I live up to standards that he must not?"

"And you, Ebullius. How dare you ask me not to change his blight, when the blight blights every aspect of every creation created by everyone? Why must I live up to standards that he must not?"

"Please, call me Ken. You see, Mr. Quinghai, the issue here is that you, the Water Aspect, a sort of demiurge rather than the more organization-oriented aspects Mr. Vanhurk and Ms. Rassura, are unprovokedly trying to interfere with what is currently a perfectly harmless creation when one takes into account interplanetary distances. Ostrioth bothers no one in the practical sense, Mr. Quinghai, and you are fervently maintaining that it somehow does, which is a rather zealous way of looking at things as well as not very productive. And if I am not missing my mark, you are exercising your divine power to interfere, when it is creation and preliminary organization you should be concerning yourself more with at this juncture. And I find wantonly interfering in work that is currently progressing nicely, especially when slinging accusation that are somewhat baseless, to be in rather bad taste."

"I mean, really, don't you have amazing things to create and work with and a limited span of time to do it? Why spoil somebody else's work? Worse, why foment discord without reason? That's not terribly synergistic at all, is it? We Water Aspects should be better than this."

"You truly think his creation harmless? Then you are a fool."

"Bah, expand its influence? The mere suggestion. Ostrioth is it. It will be the end point for the energies of life. As for you, Quinghai, you are correct. Life ends. I make it so. Death is my domain, I would not expect an elemantal to understand its workings."

"You truly think his creation harmless? Then you are a fool."

"That's not a very healthy attitude, Mr. Quinghai. You're placing yourself in a position where you believe you can do no wrong and that anybody who opposes you is a fool. It's a very easy trap to fall into. Especially so since you've only existed in this instance and never before. We all go a little mad with power on our first run through, I know. But please, try to get with the program and start creating rather than squabbling, Mr. Quinghai. You're only wasting everyone's time if you don't, as Mr. Mort has already confirmed he has no real plans for expanding his domain," Ken says with a hint of tiredness to his voice, then gets back to work. "Terribly sorry for holding you up, Mr. Vanhurk. Let's get those ice substrates working."

"Life ends. This does not make it just to force it to end before its time, any more than it would be just to bring about the end of the universe just because it is inevitably going to happen some era."

"I do not call all who oppose me fools, I merely call all who are foolish fools. And I have no problem if Mort drains the life from beings on his own wretched world, which is why--rather than destroy it, as you seem convinced I am doing--I am merely insulating its blight from the rest of the universe. He may blight his own, but I will not stand for anyone else to be affected."

((I promise that this state of mind is just temporary.))

"Life-draining or not, you're not putting WATER on my toasty volcanic wonderland. I'd melt the universe to a volcanic slurry before I'd let that happen. Ostrioth, as I believe it's been called, shall remain fiery until the end of days."

Aid Mort with his deathlings, giving them a working 'digestive system' to release heat as a waste product when they consume souls.

Turn 9: Life and Death

Make Space Eels! All the Space Eels! Have them photosynthesize!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!
[5] You make pretty translucent photosynthetic space eels with multicolored glowing organs. They're playful and curious, and make cute songlike chirping noises.

Create another sphere, with a molten iron core.
[6] You create a massive volcanic world, cracked and straining under its own weight.

Having nothing better to do at this point, Rassura tries to check out that ball that just appeared.
[1] Tasty ball! Well, not that tasty.

"Help me out here, somebody. Can't be doing everything myself, can I? This is a team effort, dang it! I need someone to enrich this cloud with a little je ne sais quoi, dig? Mr. Vanhurk, care to introduce some order into here?"

Create little clumps of atypical ice within the cloud, with sizable spaces within their particular crystal structure for the microbes to use as advanced substrates, hopefully forming larger colonies in the process.
Help this whole event move along in an orderly fashion.
[6+1] You harden and bind everything in the cloud into one giant irregular lattice of water-and-dust-filled ice. Oh, and microbes. Gotta entomb the microbes.

Speaking of which, the microbes appear to lack souls.

"Good. This will be a fitting world for my harbingers to develop"

Create a sort of unlife on the planet that can feed on the souls stored in the core of the planet and is resistant to the vapors.

[2+1] You create giant black stick insect like things. They're attracted to souls, and try to harvest them with two short feeler-like things as they pass into the planet's surface. Erratic cracks in their carapace glow red with heat when they're successful at devouring some soulstuff.

Drown the unclean Volcanic World in deep floods so its taint will be sealed off from the rest of the universe!
"Interesting. It would seem that a combination of our powers is more effective than using them individually. Good work, brothers. Although I suppose there is not much more I can do to help this planet. But you know what else is interesting? It would seem one of our brothers of the Water Aspect wants to destroy our creation. We cannot leave him unopposed." Aquilos remarks as he sees Quinghai attempting his destruction.

Oppose Quinghai with a ball of strong winds that will suck the deluge of water around itself and keep it from reaching the death planet.
[5] vs [2] Aquilos succeeds at making Quinghai's deluge a bit foamy as it thunders across Ostrioth's surface, sealing its soulsucking properties beneath an insulating layer of force-blocking water. The gasses are largely trapped as well, unable to resist being dissolved into the water or trapped as bubbles against the seabed.

[2] The unlife stickbugs don't handle the wall of water very well, and most of them are smashed asunder as the deluge hits volcanic formations.

[4-1] The purple gas giant seems a bit more turbulent than it was.

Stabilize my new volcanic world, removing excess mass by creating a deep, world-spanning labyrinth.
Rassura, I feel you may be helpful to me in this instance. Should you help me, I will surely repay my debt whenever you desire.
Rassura does her best to assist in creating this labyrinth, probably by making the passageways so utterly random and confusing that anything that got lost in them would go insane.

"Ah, much better! Now the blight cannot spread beyond the lovely seas! I feel I should fill them, though. First proper seas anywhere. My, is that an unstable planet? It should be fixed...but someone is already doing that. Fish it is!"

Create a number of assorted fish in the seas around Ostrioth. The small ones eat bugs and the big ones eat the small ones. Pretty simple, for now.
