Aspect: Magic classroom game. (FULL)
« on: May 12, 2014, 06:13:19 pm »

Professor Bizardium looked upon his new class, he was a professor charged with teaching magically gifted students... or those whose parents bribed the school officials to let them into the school. The school to be specific was Hogwarts Refardo's School For the Gifted. He wasn't expecting much from this class, magic seemed to be less important to the populace as of late. Many people opted out of the school, leaving only the most basically gifted, with only a small incident of magical outburst as reason to teach them. He sighed, maybe they would be gifted, and quite skilled, but now was the time to meet his class.

"Hello class, I am your teacher, Professor Bizardium."

So this is my new magic game, trying to be a game master again. So as starters we have our explanation of the type of magic you will be using in this game, Aspectral magic. Which allows you to draw upon aspects around you that are inbued in objects. At the begginning you will be only able to draw these aspects from what is touching you, but you will be able to gain more grasp on it, and how much of it you can use at a time. For example, because you are alive, and moving, you will have animation, and life aspects bound to you which you can use at any time. This magic is also dependent on the Ether, a massive... ethereal store of energy that permeates the air of the world, its aspect is the hardest to achieve known to sentient kind, this is where all of you draw upon for energy, how much you can draw is dependent on your skills, and the object your drawing from, luckily taking energy does not require you to draw upon its aspect, or else all mages in this world would be fucked.

So as second here are the stats. All will start at level 2 except for grasp, which will be at level one.
Grasp: Your ability to draw upon the aspects of objects nearby. As it levels you will be able to draw more aspects from a object/force and draw from a longer distance, this is the hardest stat to learn.
Current: The ability to let aspects flow through you. Leveling this will allow you to cast bigger more impressive spells, this is the easiest stat to learn.
Knowledge: Your grasp on history, and different spells you can use with magic. This levels up depending on your playstyle.
Control: Your ability to make sure using a spell doesnt rend you apart. Leveling this will make it harder to kill yourself with too big of a spell. This is a average stat to learn.
Capacity: The ability to draw upon the Ether. Leveling this increases your ability to use spells without getting tired or lightheaded. this is a average stat to learn.

  Now for character sheets.

((Probably somewhere in the fifties, if realistic to the game universe probably hundreds but ill make some changes...))

  TURN ONE

"Four... five... six..."

The low class number was probably because of last years class, we don't want to talk about last year... But now was time to teach the younglings, but how much do they know? A simple question would suffice.

"Class, what do you know about magic and its history?"

  He awaited their answers.

The shy ghost girl raises her hand and begins to answer;
"U-Uhm... w-we draw magical a-aspects from us and things around u-us and manipulate i-it to our will..." she says, fidgeting in her chair.

  TURN TWO

"That is the most basic, and yet the most useful knowledge. However, I must see your talent with art of aspectral magic."

Suddenly in a small burst of light, a small bowl appears on your desk, and one of the drawers unlocks, inside it a small smooth and bent piece of circular glass, and a bowl metal of woodchips is found.

"Now everyone figure out how to ignite the woodchips in the bowl with the aspects you can find in the area."

Suddenly the professor starts writing on the board making two separate tables. One says "Professor's advised aspects", the other says "Known aspects." Known aspects is considerably much bigger, about tenfold. He quickly writes two aspects on known aspects board, Transparent, and Void.
