Well this is a poll so I vote that yes I would like to see this happen. Pointless though that may be since Meph just said no.
Though Putnam's comment doesn't really make sense to me since MLP is very heavily a general western fantasy. Kind of like D&D but with more ponies, and a higher tech level.
If the OP does plan on doing it regardless for himself, I would easily see ponies working much like a less hardcore version of Warlocks mixed with a bit of Gnome and would have buildings and reactions to reflect that.
Like warlocks hey would have a stronger focus on magic systems and have a strong caste system separating what individuals can do.
Earth Ponies would be inherently better at skills relating to physical labors as well as nature related stuff (such as farming, animal skills, herbalism, etc.) but wouldn't have much in the way of unique reactions.
Unicorns are heavy in magic use and mental skills and would run buildings and reactions that rely on magic (I imagine a bit of imagination can go far with designing buildings and reactions for that), however they would suck at physical skills.
Pegasi would be a middle ground. They aren't particularly better or worse at most skills, but aren't required for as much unique building operations and reactions. Mostly stuff involving weather manipulation. However, using clouds as building materials or as platforms to build atop of could be interesting. The fact that they can fly also means a lot when it comes to construction and fort building.
The gnome aspect I see coming from having better interactions with animals. As herbivores, there is even less of a incentive to have the ponies butcher animals, so training them is preferable. So you could try thinking of more animal based buildings as well.
The other gnome-y (or perhaps dwarf-y) aspect is that ponies are at least early industrial so tech comes easier to them, but they wouldn't have as strong of an affinity as gnomes. Steam power and electronics (maybe with magic in place of electricity) could be used.
Unfortunately I can't give more than just a few ideas. Can't help you with actually programming anything.
