Also Palestine is in there. I read something a couple weeks back about how the flag in their act got banned and they REALLY REALLY wanted their flag in there. It was blocked due to a general ban on various flags and symbols for political and other reasons. Also the Basque flag was blocked as well, and apparently that flag is a constitutional flag of Spain, so the article mentioned them complaining as well.

Palestine is not in there. their flag was banned along with Islamic state flag and other political non-actual-state flags.
Israel, on the other hand, is in there, despite not getting into this poll for some obscure (or not) reason.

Yep, Eurovision banned all non-state flags. Some Crimean Tatars were rather dissapointed because they want theirs on TV screens.

This year i am bit conflicted on who to root for. i dislike Hovi star (Israel's singer), even though he studied at my highschool. the french singer is an Israeli which i rather liked when he performed in Israel and the british song was written by an ex-Israeli from "my" city. of those i think the french entry is the strongest.
