Eh, I feel like we won due the whole drama surrounding the competition.
It's really sad how and form of media, events or competitions are being turned into a battleground for agenda and cease to become to what they used to be originally about.

Then again I never really cared about Eurovision either way.

Poor Polan. The one time they're about to win with a dumb fun song and they get kneecapped by a fabulous conspiracy.

Bogdan Zdrojewski waited. The lights above him blinked and sparked out of the air. There were beards in the competition. He didn't see them, but had expected them now for years. His warnings to President Komorowski were not listenend to and now it was too late. Far too late for now, anyway.
Bogdan was a Minister of Culture for seven years. When he was young he watched the Soviet Song Festival and he said to dad "I want to be on the culture gravy train daddy."
Dad said "No! You will BE THWARTED BY BEARDS"
There was a time when he believed him. Then as he got oldered he stopped. But now in the Eurovision contest of 2014 he knew there were beards.
"This is Donald Tusk" the radio crackered. "You must fight the beards!"
So Bogdan gotted his boobage team and planted expat fifth column in the UK.
"HE GOING TO WIN US" said the beards
"I will sing at him" said the bearded drag queen and (s)he fired the pop song. Bogdan promoted sex tourism at him/her and tried to won him up. But then the conspiracy sprang and he was trapped and not able to win.
"No! I must win the beards" he shouted
The radio said "No, Bogdan. You are the beards"
And then Bogdan gotted a clean shave.

Jarosław Kaczyński (brother of the Polish president who died in the plane crash) stated that the victory of the bearded lady is a sign of europe falling into decadence.
He immediately got bashed for supporting Putin in spite of being one of the most antu russian politicians poland currently has.

I think it's the other way around. Don't know how it is in other countries but I think it's safe to say that in Germany there is a huge overlap between the LBGT community and people who care about Eurovision. (And I don't mean to insult LBGT people who have an actual musical taste by that. )

OUR BEARDS

So I discovered something very interesting during this year's Eurovision. After the semi-final I glimpsed upon some tabloids saying that Russia's song talks about occupying Crimea and Russia's empirical ambitions. After I listened to the song again, it did seem to me like so.

So there are two options with this:

a) This is a wonderful little thing that shows just how easily manipulated the human brain is to read something that is actually not there. (A known effect with conspiracy theorists who listen to music backwards and think that it is the devil)

b) It really does talk about Russia's empirical ambitions.

I don't really think much of it and am leaning towards option a. Russia did have a good song though. I also really liked Ukraine's gigantic hamster wheel and Iceland's song was really fun.
