Fucking Natura...

I do have to say I enjoyed myself tonight, despite the trouble with the nether. I think I'm well on my way to becoming a semi-competent Thaumcraft wizard (or is it wizzard?).

If anyone else wants to join me and mocman in Thaumcrafting, my shack is to the south of spawn on the edge of the dark oak forest. There's a lot of stuff to scan and we even have a crucible now.

It's time to kill the ender Dragon

Akhier and DiamondKitty will be hosting a "let's kill the ender dragon" party on Saturday, July 19th.

Exact time has not been established, but I don't usually wake up until noon pacific time, so we're unlikely to go before that. We'll probably just go when we have enough people. The access tunnel to our end portal room is at (Nether: -60, 60). To get there, use the PIg Church portal at (Overworld: -310, -430), turn left at the main corridor and turn left at the pumpkins.

 * Akhier will be supplying enchanted bows
 * Diamondkitty will supply jack-o-lanterns and strength potions

If anyone has other potion requests, let me know. I can provide anything except regeneration and water breathing in quantity. If anyone wants armor, we have an iron farm. Supplying armor is easy, but you might want to get enchanting before Saturday.

Important:
For the final blow we will be luring the dragon to (0,0) and making the killing blow with a sword at close range. The end dragon has a tendency to fly all over the place, and if we indiscriminately fire at random until he dies, sometimes he dies in annoying places like 70 blocks up and off the edge of land. Where he dies is where the exit portal will be generated, so we're going to kill him him in a nice easy to access spot at ground level. This is easy to do. All that needs to happen is that we wear him down together near (0,0) then stop shooting once he's low, and wait for him to swoop. When he does, we all whack him with swords and he dies. Poof! Exit portal in a convenient spot.

...And make sure to take out all the crystals first, of course!

We should temporarily move our beds and several chests full of equipment near the portal, a sort of battle hotel if you will, so we can jump back in in case of death. Though with many people, it shouldn't come to that.

EDIT: And I'd volunteer to be in charge of keeping up a golem army during the fight, for hilarity and dealing with the horde of endermen. Snow golems would be preferable.

Which magic are you doing? 'Cause if you're doing Thaumcraft you can use my base for research, and, if you're doing something else, we can probably exchange magical items or services once I figure out how to build something that's tangibly useful.

   Just to note for the enderdragon fight. As mentioned I will be providing bows though if you have your own that is fine but fire doesn't affect the dragon. If you have a fire bow with low or no power enchant borrow one of mine. Also while I don't mind if you give them back the bows are to keep so if you don't have anything better don't worry, tis a gift. Also arrows are not a problem, just pop down into the skele grinder in "The Town" to get how ever many you want. This also means for those of you like with the fire have an infinite bow with low to no power borrow one of my bows as well and bring a few stacks of arrows.
   If I can't make it to the fight itself the bows should still be in my house which is in "The Town". It is located diagonally across the farm area from the pig temple. I will also have some potions in my house as well for the fight. The chests will be labeled with frames though really you can take whatever you want as anything that is mission critical to anything I am doing is in my enderchest.
   Side note there is in fact an enderchest in my house and in the enchantment room in the skelespawner. So if you are ever in town and need to use such a thing (I couldn't find one anywhere else though feel free to note if you have one) you know where you can find a couple.

After several hours of working on our new mob grinder, I decided to take a break and do something fun.



I didn't count exactly, but I think it was about 12-15 stacks of wool.

Had a rather successful day of wizzarding. I upgraded my wand, and I also gained the ability to use my wand to dig up blocks quickly and at range using magic (which I can recharge pretty easily by killing pigs or cows) and to light fires on netherrack and obsidian. Also, I made funky goggles that let me see aura nodes.

Also, if anyone has seen any silverwood trees anywhere, let me know, because I think they might be our only hope of cleansing the ever-present taint plague.

EDIT: The WTF thread just reminded me: if anyone knows where a village is, or can just bring me a potato, I'd be very grateful. I need the potato so I can shoot lightning bolts from my wand. I am not even kidding.

I both love and hate that the humble potato is a requirement for the lightning focus.

A zombie dropped one potato! I started a small farm near my place (-357,-74), north from spawn, in a magical forest, and I also put three potatoes in the small chest in the wooden shack at spawn.

I'm gonna do a Twilight Forest run. I never "completed" this mod, so now's the time.

Nicely done!  I've done a little of that nature myself in a single-player world.

I spent quite sometime failing at making the magicians blood orb. but I finally got it. Do my base north of spawn has a blood alter capable of making one of them now if you want to doe it the easy way.

Im now getting ready to do some witchery!
