What specialties would fall in line with the description of "Coffee Wizard"?
Depends on what you mean by coffee. Does that mean buffs that help get people on their feet? If so, GURPS can do that, but first I need to tell you about the magic system- or rather, magic systems. GURPS has a plethora of systems to choose from, of which I am recommending you pick one of these two:
The default system has you take a number of levels of magery, which represents your innate magical ability, and then learn each spell as a skill. There are elaborate requirement trees, E.G. you need to learn "Create Fire" before you can learn "Fireball". You are limited to the lists of pre-written spells, unless we invent new ones which is a somewhat difficult process. This system also has a few balance issues with which I am well familair and can work around. This system is the easiest to use.
The other is Ritual Path Magic, which has you again take a number of levels of magery, which represents your innate magical ability, but then you learn nine Path Skills, and use these to cast magic. It has detailed instructions for turning anything you think of into a spell, so you can invent a new spell at the drop of a hat. It's spellcasting takes a while though, unless you either prepare your spells ahead of time or take advantages specifically to work around that. I like this system, personally, but it's not for everyone.
I mean what have people made so far? And how many points do we have to work with? 300?
We have a Barbarian/ Archer, a thief, and perhaps a coffee wizard. You have 250 points to work with.
Could you describe the scout lens? I don't want to download that book to the computer I'm on right now. And I did add five points to strenghth and want to know whether I want to remove them or not.
