Yeah, that's fine, though if you just want a few items, you can buy them as signature gear. Thats a good way to get weapons & armor.

It's pretty simple- Each point gets you $500 worth of gear with a bit of plot protection.

Yeah, that's how I got the bow and sword. I'll mark it down when I get to a computer.

Do you want to start out with your characters already knowing each other, or shall I have you all meet in a tavern?

I don't think it would make much sense for my thief to know a bow-sercer.

Also, did you hear that GWG got banned?

...No, I didn't. I remember him getting a temp ban a few weeks ago, did he do whatever it was again?

I'm up for a game with the system, depending on the setting.

This will be a simple dungeoncrawl, to demonstrate the mechanical function of the rules. We'll be following the specific rules in the GURPS Dungeon Fantasy books. This Basically means you're a bunch of adventurers who make their living off of "Salvaging" the goods lost in ancient dungeons. This will be fairly minimalistic on the Roleplaying front, becuase I'm not very good at that and becuase it's mostly independent of the rules anyway. Instead, it will feature most of the DND standards - traps, monsters, physical challenges, plus a touch of economics (Funding your expeditions, disposing of loot, etc.) Perhaps later I will do a more comprehensive campaign- one of the two I'd mentioned in the OP, or perhaps an infinite worlds or modern wierd stuff campaign.

Someone look over my sheet please and see if I've gone over anything or done something wrong?

Also, can we find a 'high-tech' bow while adventuring? I think it'd be hilarious to see someone who's all armored up using a modern bow on unsuspecting enemies.

I'm looking at your sheet, and it looks alright, except that I'm not sure whether your an archer or a swordsman. You'll probably want more DX for a bowman or more ST for a swoprdsman. take a look at the templates in DF1 for reference.

As for a high-tech bow, perhaps. I was thinking this'd stay a faux-medieval dungeoncrawl. I could vary things up and start throwing in more advanced enemies and items if you like, but it'll change the flavor of the game. Reminds me of a game I'd thought of, actually-

Quote from: Angle
A DF-esque game pulling from all sources, with most things allowed in character creation and advancement, provided theres an explanation. (Teleportation? Go for it. Control earth? Sure, why not. Altered time rate? Have fun.) Would require an extremely savvy and devious GM, of course. CHaracters start out with lots of points, and advance quickly. Any and all technologies are somewhat available, though only somewhat. And of course, Anti-tech fields are fair game. Basically, a game to push peoples comprehension and problem solving to the limits. (Alright, we've got MR. SMASH and his Vibro-Axe, The Crimson Speedster, The tele-sneak, and myself, the Visceral Wizard. How do we deal with the Electro-Liches, the Mecha Pirates, and their Anti Gravity Grenades? Hmm.) Dirty GM tricks are mandatory. (It's not my problem you didn't notice the Psi-Dragon...)

DF crossed with superheroes, basically.

I know my laptop is terrible, but taking 5 minutes to load the basic set page is ridiculous! COME ONE 600- pages!

...That's really slow. Are you downloading it first? Try saving it to a local folder.
