Oh, Cript, if Flame owes you two gold at the end of this turn, he won't be able to pay upkeep for himself.  Flame can only pay the three of ours upkeeps this turn.  Next turn. however...

I changed my offer to just 1/5th like yours because I realized that a large paragraph, even if it is reasonable, isn't going to get me hired in a environment with so many people ready to jump in. Flame doesn't owe me anything but upkeep on turn 2. (And indeed, even if he took my original terms, he would also not owe me anything on turn two, I certainly was not expecting to be paid until we had 2-3 threads)

NW six times.

Note that if you move off the keep, you will no longer be able to recruit units until you return to it.

Oh. Can he hire Playergamer, then move off?

Flameboy, I have a new offer: I will work for you for free until the we capture a thread, at which point I would only require the cost of upkeep, and then after we capture two threads, I would like to be paid upkeep +1. I would also like to request 1/5 of all unspent wealth at the end of the battle.

If anyone of great wealth wants to lend me two gold to pay for starting upkeep, I will pay them back four gold once I can safely afford it, end of this battle at the latest.

adwarf, are you going to hire anyone else? I have 26 gold, so I can forgo a few payments in favor of you being able to hire and pay someone else; if you want to do that.

Flameboy, I'll join for 1/6 income (after a thread is captured), plus upkeep (after turn 5). I'll also lend ShadowHammer two gold if hired.

Sheet changes, since I didn't get to them yet:
Specialize in underground.
Buy bow and scale armor. (Leaving me with one bow, one scale armor, and no leather armor.)

GM Question: can any basic class keep an automatic spell up?

If hired, follow Cript and try to stay behind him.

Alright, Token updated. Also changing my shopping in light of the wealthy trait to Scale armour, Pitchfork and Bow and leaves me with 18 Gold

Cool with me. I can pay for myself for the time being as well, I have enough money. Might need some more considering I only need 6-7 XP to level up.

Yes, people can be recruited before the Commander moves off. What I will need bolded is
I extend an offer to recruit Blah
I accept the offer to joing Blah

and any I give x gold to Blah that is required.

By default a Commander will pay his units' upkeep and nothing else, so bold any divergences each turn.

Taricus: Any class that knows an automatic spell can keep it up, but by default you need to be an acolyte to be able to purchase spells.

Put the token in the signup thing.

Also, I will work for slings, bows or scale armour.

I misread the Scholarly leader trait and thought it allowed everyone to buy spells. Oops. But I still want to join.

New offer to Flameboy: I'll join just for upkeep costs (I'll pay my own until you take a thread). I'll not be taking any large risks without extra pay, though.
