Every character in the beta has their own lines. So there's a lot less cheesy British accents. There's still Mr. Foster and a couple other British characters from KF1 that still have British accents. But it's a lot less "Oi you tosser!" and more....believable I guess? They don't sound like a group of guys at a football match anymore, that's for sure. The French Chick, the Black Guy and the Asian guy from Rising Storm also break up the Britishness of the voice overs.
Re: Kiting vs. Camping, it's true you could do either in KF. What you can't do anymore though is plant your feet for a whole wave and not move. Very few areas can be reduced to 4 or fewer points of approach, spawn points are in some ways sneakier, ZEDs are faster on higher difficulties....and generally if you're camping a spot, you're going to have ZEDs swarming through while everyone circle strafes and tries to kill. It's the fun of almost losing a position and being forced to flee and kite, but never quite getting there.
Compared to me and 4 of my friends forming "the gun line" executing everything with zero movement on our part until Wave 7/10, KF2 is a breath of fresh air in that department. A really disciplined team can still play like that, but the levels simply don't facilitate it as easily as they once did.
I'm curious to see what kind of maps we end up with once EA rolls a long a bit. I really doubt we're going to see something like KF-Farm again. TWI has realized that sight lines were a) a big part of kiting in the first game and b) a reason why SS were dominant in so many situations.
That said, I would love to see KF-Farm remade with KF2's lighting.
