Technically, yes, but your death will be swift. I don't think there's anything in the PHB that gives you blindsense or similar, so you'll be swinging around with a 50% miss chance on attacks and the rogue will probably pickpocket you for every coin you have.

Again, technically, you COULD make it a cult about true sight... but your character just won't actually be able to see anything. You don't get any powers that aren't actually in the book.

So, I just realized at first level with a cleric worshipping Kord I can make a creature double their size and do as I command for one turn. It feels so good to think about.

Ok, so, I am sticking with the Halfling Wizard Derek Boweltrust – won’t go Gnome as I don’t know that Illusion spells are worth the hassle of all the changing.

I was going to go with Mage Armour, Colour Spray, and… Sleep (or Grease or Enlarge Person) – could someone advise me if this is a decent choice?

I am just using the srd for reference as that’s all I have. Is there anything amazing I am missing?

It's Magic Item Compendium, so no. I might recommend a lance for the goblin.

Ooh, thanks. That would bring me over half-way there (a lance cost 10gp). Only 4.1gp more and I can do 4-14 damage charging on my St Bernard, ride up to a second target and have my dog bite it. Elsewise, I'll do the same tactic, but I'll ride by doing 2-3 non lethal goblin fist damage...

Okay, so I should be just about done now. Now have a heavy shield, and an extra flail and a light crossbow just in case. All skill points have been sunk into Swim, just in case. Got rid of the miner's pick since it was heavy and so I can now spot Mr. Goblin 4 gp if needed.

Excellent, thank you! Just .1gp more and I'll be a real knight (well, I'll still need to loot the first small corpse we find for some armour). We're already starting off to a good start, team-work-wise.

edit: does it benefit anyone if I take Enlarge Person rather than another spell?

edit edit: heehee, I have a dagger which does 1d4-3 damage. I don't think it is worth the weight, melee-wise, but what if I fall in a bag?

It's propably gonna benefit our DORF WARRIOR, but that's about it.
