"And the same. Alejandro Cuéllar."

"And I'm Majikthise," says Majikthise, emerging out from the shadows. "Good to know you're not one of those people, you know? The savage types, with the shooting people on sight and whatnot."

John shakes Alejandro's hand.

"John Smith. I'm looking for gas, mostly. The bike's running on fumes, and I'd hate to leave it here."

John nods at Majikthise.

"Nice to meet you."

((I forget who had the walkie-talkie at the moment, and am too lazy to check back a few pages.))

Get the radio and call up the other group.

"Have you guys found anything over there? Namely, fuel? Over."

"Nice to meet you."

"Likewise. Seen anything interesting on the road, John, or just bad news all around?"

To radio: "We found someone, or rather, he found us. Nevermind, then, if we don't have any. Other than that, nothing new since we lost William. Over."

To John: "No fuel. Is there anything else you might need? I'm planning to set some trade up once we settle down somewhere, I wouldn't mind to get the word going."

"News? People are going crazy since the zombies got...I don't know, raptured? Gangs wandering around with rifles, cannibals cooking anyone who comes near - don't see the point when there's a warehouse full of Twinkies out there somewhere - people doing whatever it takes to survive."

"Oh, well. Some extra food would always be nice, but all I really needed badly was fuel. Don't want to abandon the old bike here, after all we've been through. Although, I must admit, she has been going a bit Theseus lately."

John digs around in his pack for a bit.

I could, or do you want to make it public? Seeing as you're most likely staying with the group anyways.

"Well, what if you stay here with us until we find some? This farm was one of the ideas for a permanent base, considering the fields are good for growing food. You won't have to abandon the cycle, and we could use another pair of hands, as we, well, lost one."

Look around for anything to make some throwing spears out of. My hammer works well, but I'd like to have a ranged option.

Big Joe looks around for something to make a spears out of of. [Perception: 1] He comes across what appear to piece metal poles of some sort on the ground. He reaches down to grab them, only for them to fall apart in his hands, turning out to not be made of any metallic surface at all, rather some sort of fractured glass.

I guess it could be public. Sure, why not?
