Find a change of trousers. Get some of the meat and try cooking it. But first, drink its blood-equivalent. Send three volunteers out to find those lost scouts. Everyone else can keep on with what they were doing.

Forget about the scouts for now, then. Look for flint - if none can be found dig for it.
- with flint make tools like axes
- chop down trees with axes
- make shields, doors, shutters, etc, anything that helps security

Point out the packs of creatures that attacked us in the forest we escaped by climbing trees: what about them? Don't want them coming in a skulking about, which they will sooner or later, and we need to keep them out.

Take a few of the nearest people, and set them to watch from nearby buildings. Everyone else goes back to what they were doing, or they can hide if they want to. We ourselves will watch and, if it wakes up soon, try to communicate.
