I have successfully modded a reaction to the Coin Mint, in Meph's Masterwork mod, that mints a batch of 100 individual coins (for coinstar usage). I was wondering if there would be a way to move it to the metal smith's forge, so you can use different metals easier.

For my mod, i used platinum, and 5 bars of metal to make 100 unstacked coins (to completely nulify the ability to smelt all the individual coins into a MASSIVE amount of free metal)

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

So, for any of the more savvy modders out there, any way to put this into the default metalsmith forge, for non Masterwork users? Or does it HAVE to be a custom building?

Umm... Doesn't this just make it easier to get huge amounts of free metal? Now you won't need to trade the coins away and buy them back, but you still make 5 bars profit.
100 * 0.1 = 10 bars

Edit: Well, the profit per bar is greatly reduced (from 4900% to 100%), but the work required to obtain free metal is also reduced.

I love this community. Somebody asks "hay guise how do i tame shark", and then everybody is like "why don't we fling sharks at things with complex mechanical devices?".

I might change it to a stack of 50 coins, to remove any bar profit. This reaction, unfortuanately can give the coins an item quality, and a SHIT ton of skill xp. (but since the building it is on, is the coin mint, which uses pump operator skill, which is useless for crafting stuff.)

At the same time, since they can have item quality, you are going to get pissed off dwarves if you destroy their masterwork coin.

One thing that i was wondering, and maybe Putnam or Meph, or Deon.... Is it possible to remove an item from getting quality tags?

Have it require no skill. Heck, two birds with one stone.

cool, it worked. It was an instantaneous reaction, but hey, massive pile of coins to be hauled 1 at a time to the CoinStar pit for armor training. Now i just need to make my own building for it, and add different metals.  :D

The building is getting built, but none of the reactions are showing up when i Q over it to add a job. Any of the more senior modders out there have any idea what the hell i did wrong?

BUILDING:COINSTAR_MINT:NONE.

You forget the hotkey entry after the building Id.

Question: What do you want with 100 single coins?

Its for use in the coinstar danger room.
2x1 hole in the ground. With two 1x1 retracting bridges at the bottom hooked up to a repeater. Dump in individual coins (so that item size is small enough to do 0 damage. Tell a soldier to go stand inside, and turn it on. The coins fly around hitting the soldier, and train armor user skill extremely fast.

Seems it would be faster to just edit the dwarf's armor skill up...
