We don't have sufficient production to reach our contract. I'm sure the police forces will protect us.

Anyway, the production of 10 pistols cost us 500.  We're paid 400 for every 20.

800 initial payment, 400 for every 20 afterwards. But if it is 500 for 10, then we will be losing money.

Hopefully high cost is because of low number of workers and their low skill as gunsmiths. They should become more experienced as time goes on, if that's the case.

High cost is because the first ten are prototypes, the first time you make any weapon its base cost will be much higher for that one set so the M-3s actually only cost you $20, and for the 400 every 20 afterwards that is actually supposed to read 600 for every 20 after that.

Now, only the very first time you make a batch of the gun is it charged as being a prototype.

It won't be unguarded, it will be lightly guarded.

Anyway, if we can't fulfill our contract, we can't make any profit, and we can't afford to pay our guards.

May of 1945, Making Money

Research

Your scientists truly impress you as they produce designs, and prototypes of the desired pistol barrels long before the month, all told their progress was grand. At this rate you may well become one of the most advanced weapons manufacturers and defense contractors in the entire nation, that is assuming your personnel can keep such a pace going for a reasonable length of time.

Production

Your workers do some outstanding work that matches the prowess of your research division as they produce a grand total of fifteen M-3 Semis, and ten of those in time to make the first shipment of M-3s to the 1st Advance Recon giving you your first payment on a contract. A transport comes along escorted by four of the Royal Army's soldiers to take the guns to their needed destination and to deliver the payment directly to you, a few of them remark about the lack of security Jormugandr Industries currently has in these rather harsh times.

Administrative

Towards the end of the month some workmen approach you to inform that the offices have been completely finished, and furnished for your use along with secure lines running to the major bureaus and groups within the Empire of Britannia. With these renovations complete you can truly begin to expand your operations!
