Side note: I looked up the Whig party and discovered that not only do they have a modern branch, they sound pretty reasonable. According to their Wikipedia page, at least; they only described the six general Big Focus things, all of which sound pretty good, but I'm not sure about their prioritization or how far they want to take those goals. If any Whigs run for office in my area, I'll be sure to read up on their politics more in-depth.
