How close am I, and did I choose my spells for today yet?

((Well that was way more successful than I'd hoped.))

Robin yelps at the unexpected dramatic entry of two new people, but sees the robed man cast a spell and realizes he has to incapacitate the spellcaster or risk a quick demise. He yells, "I hope you're on our side against these rapscallions!" at the half-orc and moves toward the robed man to attempt a Chill Touch.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Garenth shields his face from flying splinters with his arm.
"Oh great, more bastards to deal with."
He pulls opens his spellbook and readies Magic Missile for next turn, stepping back from the group of enemies.

"Raspy lions take Joe! Joe smash!"

You're about twenty feet away, and I don't think so.
If you want to go ahead and do that you can.

@Cthuhufaic: I'm assuming you already have at least one magic missile pre-prepared, so you could fire one now.

Hmmm.... if I ready another magic missile, could I cast 2 in 1 turn?

@ Highmax: Because they are on a ship a good quarter-kilometer from your position.

@Cthuhu: If you spend the turn to ready an action to go off at the start of your next turn, then yeah.
But that would mean you aren't really doing much this round.

Spencer

You decide to go ahead and cut through the labyrinth to reach the center area of the Barges.
The three of you walk up a ramp that leads inside of the first barge, and you find yourself in a narrow corridor, with a short ceiling. It's more like being in a cave than being outside, but you can still feel the breeze slightly through the holes in the walls, and the rocking of the waves that the barge is floating on.
"This place gives me the creeps. I've heard that some of the barges got so heavy, the bottom floors just sunk, and they kept building right on top of them. Probably didn't even check to see if anyone drowned."
"Hey Spencer, you know how to swim, right?"
As she asks, you come across three guys that don't seem to have noticed you yet, and Will pulls you around a corner before you get spotted.
You can't detect evil from any of them. They are wearing brown robes.

Bret

You reach out your hand to them and shout!
[Will save: 7+?]
They stop in their tracks, and with a groan, they turn around and move towards you, stopping just a few feet from you.
You look around, and notice that the other guards have fallen behind. You also don't know where your ranger companion went.
The cloaked figure raises their fists at you.

Robin, Garenth, and Joe

Garenth raises his hands, and magic swirls into an orb in his palm! [Magic missile readied]
Brown turns around and see the half-orc suddenly in his face, and runs over to the red robed figure, reloading his crossbow.
He fires at Robin! [Attack: 18-1 vs. 17: Hit!] The magical armor flashes blue as the bolt passes through, dealing [4] damage!
The Chewing man froths at the mouth!
Robin's hands glow blue as he charges the robed one! [Touch attack: 20!] You jab him straight in the eyes! You deal [8] Damage, and [Fortitude Save: 8+0: fail] 1 Strength damage!
The Red Robed man flails wildly, and backs off slightly!
Joe runs over to the dropped cutlass and brandishes it at the captain!
"Well, this is going far worse than I planned."
The Captain walks over to Joe, and raises his fists before him.
"Come at me, then!"

Garenth: 8 HP [12 AC]
Brown: 0 damage taken
Chewing Man: 3 damage taken [Unconscious: 7 rounds]
Robin: 11/15 HP [13+4 AC]
Red Robed: 8 damage taken [Blind/Stun: 1 round] [Mage Armor] [-1 Strength]
Joe: 14/22 HP [15 AC]
Captain: 0 Damage Taken

According to some rules I remember reading in one of the supplement books, touch attacks do get critical hits, and sneak attack bonus damage if applicable. Which is why they can be bastardly dangerous if used right.
Also, I can't find the rules on blind and stun, so he's pretty much going to be useless until someone tells me how those work.

Command lasts one turn, which uses up the turn of the fool you hit.
So it's your turn, but the effect is over.

And thank you, sir.

EDIT: Oh. so he could have still cast a spell.
Oh well, too late now.

Is that taking into account my Divine Metamagic?

You're welcome!
