((Actually on my laptop rather than phone, so doing a bit of setting up to get some action underway, and some background in place.
If you're still making your character, don't worry, just take your time and you'll join when you're ready.))

It's a clear day.
The sun is just rising on the horizon, and the sky is still a pinkish-orange, and the sounds of seagulls float along the sea breezes.

Robin Blueeyes and Garenth Orcfodder

Robin dips his hand down into the cool, salty water, and drags his now wet spellbook out of the water, brushing off the moisture. At least it didn't seem too damaged.
On the other side of the life boot, Garenth was busy scooping up buckets of water and tossing them overboard.

They slowly drifted towards a harbor on the shoreline.
Spoiler: Knowledge Checks (click to show/hide)
Robin points out that they're coasting into a city known as "Ravencrest". He's not overly familiar with it, but he knows that it's been a seaport for over 160 years, and has been known for a wide variety of criminal organizations, infighting between different religious sects, and generally being a wretched hive of scum and villainy. He could point out more details, but nothing in particular comes to mind.
Garenth's only remembered the city when he heard it's name, and recalled the detailed stories of the 7 different schools of magic that occupied the city, each one being rather large, and hating the others.

They turned their gazes back toward the sea, and could still see the smoke rising in the distance.

Arassuil

Arassuil stirred weakly, and felt the sand beneath him as he coughed up seawater.
He didn't know how long he'd been laying here unconscious, and could only vaguely recall the events that brought him here. He remembered the flashes of light, and loud cracks that sounded of thunder, and the clouds of splinters before the ship went down.
Spoiler: Knowledge Checks (click to show/hide)
He can tell that he's washed up on the south-eastern shore of the subcontinent of Kruz, specifically in the duchy of the Duke of Lynch, and that the region is filled with sheer cliffs pocket marked with caves and canyons, with tropical forests further to the west.
He can see a city of sorts off to the south-west, not far away, and a shortbow that got washed up a few feet away from him.

Bret

Spoiler: Knowledge Checks (click to show/hide)
You don't know much about this city of "Ravencrest", other than it being a rather old place, but you know of the many religious groups that inhabit these parts, and you've come to see for yourself if any of them have similar beliefs of your own.
Probably not.
You look out and see smoke on the horizon of the sea, and hope everything's alright, and turn back to the path you've been following, clutching your quarterstaff.
You see someone laying in the sand, he doesn't seem to be moving.

Joe the Destroyer

You pull on the chains around your hands, bound behind your back, and bite on the gag in your mouth.
To your left and right are a couple of other chained half-orcs, but neither are moving.
You feel the boat rocking back and forth, and the only light you have is from the metal grates above your head. A shadow peers through the grate, and you hear a voice.
"How much longer until we're there?"
"'Bout 2 minutes until we hit the harbor, cap'n."
"Avoid the harbor, they'd check the ship. It's low in the Tides right now so the guards will be spread thin, head there."
"Aye aye, sir, make that 4 minutes, then."
"Well, hurry up, we don't have all day. They're bound to see the smoke sooner or later."

Ah, just a request, but I had a couple questions on some Complete Arcana material for my character a bit earlier in the thread.  It's no big deal, I think, especially since you're having internet problems, but some of it would be nice to have as a yes or no, especially for a character that will have significant difficulty casting anything over the third-level (assuming we survive that far). ^_^

Bret squats next to the person, and asks "Hey, friend. Do you need some help there?"
I'm assuming that the person is Arassuil.

...the life boot...
Must be a giant's boot to hold the both of us...
XD

EDIT: Oh yeah, I should probably do something...

Garenth stretches to get the kinks out of his back, "Hnnng... at the very least we aren't dead.  How soon do you think we'll reach the shore?" he asks Robin.

Arassuil gets up, and picks up the shortbow. He then turns, and sees Bret. This startles him, such that he draws his bow at him, despite not yet having any arrows.

((What are the stats on the shortbow? So I can add it to my sheet?))

Weapon Descriptions.  Shortbows can be found under Martial Weapons, subheading Ranged.

[Robin finishes his quick check of the spellbook and stashes it.]
Shouldn't be long now by the looks of it, although I doubt that getting to shore will offer us much respite. You're right, though, at least it's better than being dead. Here, hand me the bucket, I'll take over bailing for a while.

(Robin'll be on the lookout for a board or something to use as an oar. He's willing to use Prestidigitation to pull it closer if need be.)

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

@Culise: My phone won't let me open spoilers for some reason, so I'll have to check those later.

@Culise: Got to look at those feats and spells, and yeah, they look alright.

I'm don't have my mouse right now, though, so I'm stuck using the laptop's little touchpad, so I can't work on updating the OP with new sheets, I'll do that later.
