Probably a forlorn hope, but may I request the Collegiate Wizard and/or Sculpt Spell feats from Complete Arcane? I also added on the Orb spells from the same book; since we have a lot of casters, they might be considered of interest as well.
Collegiate Wizard [General]
You have undergone extensive training in a formal school for wizards.
Prerequisites: Int 13, wizard level 1st.
Benefit: You begin play with knowledge of six 1st-level spells plus 1 per point of Intelligence modifier. Each time you gain a wizard level, you may add four spells to your spellbook without additional research. In addition, you gain a +2 bonus on all Knowledge (arcana) checks.
Normal: 1st-level wizards begin play with knowledge of three 1st level spells, and can add two spells per level to their spellbooks.
Special: You can take this feat only as a 1st-level character.
SCULPT SPELL [METAMAGIC]
You can alter the area of your spells.
Prerequisite: Any metamagic feat.
Benefit: You can modify an area spell by changing the area’s shape to either a cylinder (10-foot radius, 30 feet high), a 40-foot cone, four 10-foot cubes, a ball (20-foot-radius spread), or a 120-foot line. The sculpted spell works normally in all respects except for its shape. For example, a lightning bolt whose area is changed to a ball deals the same amount of damage, but affects a 20-foot-radius spread.
A sculpted spell uses a spell slot one level higher than the spell’s actual level.
