Well, Iluvatar doesn't actually interact with the world...

I think the other Valar would be your choices. He seems like Ao (who's pretty much the DM)

As per the Deities and Demigods rulebook:
Spoiler: Odin (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Thor (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Tyr (click to show/hide)

Also, I don't know what mastahcheese's plan is for deities, so that all might be irrelevant.

I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Mastahcheese, can I make a History check at +8 to find out about the setting?
When the game is about to begin, yeah.
Just remind me.

Edit: Are traits a thing in this?
No.

EDIT:Do I put anything in the "character traits" and "character flaws" fields?
No.

@Subject of Deities:
They may or may not ever come up in the game.
As for what your characters believe in, it may affect RP or interactions with NPCs, (assuming they aren't trying to murder you already) but for the most part, I don't really care.

Ok, I need to go back through and see if anyone else finished their sheets.

Might as well chalk it up to Pathos.
As this point we might as well invoke interpretive dance and call it a day.

I only have a couple, like powers and hp dice for paladins. Can I get a hand on that?

And I'll be a Paladin of Thor then :D

Ok, updated the OP.

People in the "Characters" section are people with finished sheets. They are ready to play.

People in the "Waitlist" section are people who have posted links to a character sheet, but haven't finished them yet.

If you've taken the test, but haven't posted a link to a sheet or sheet-in-progress, then you won't show up quite yet.

Cool. Now, all we need is a setting.

Already have one, you just don't know it yet.

I'll start this maybe tomorrow, and then I'll roll whatever knowledge checks you've all got to see what you start off with knowing.
Might do the rolls today if I get bored.

I also have a +8 to Religion for reference.

Speaking of Dieties, I have a gameplay question, Mastahcheese, can I invent a Deity?
Spoiler: Kolni, God of Infantry (click to show/hide)

+8 to religion? You may actually know some stuff, then.

As for making deities, make all the deities you want, just keep in mind that there may not be anyone that worships them.
(Although the way I wrote up the place, I could easily substitute a current god for a custom one.)

I've got +6 in Knowledge(local), and +4 in history, the planes, and religion.

Current trained Knowledge checks for ready players:

Bret: +8 History and Religion
Robin Blueeyes: +6 Local, +4 History, Planes, Religion
Garenth Orcfodder: +7 Arcana, +3 History
Arassuil: +4 Geography, +3 Nature
Joe the Destroyer doesn't know shit.

Placing here is case I do the checks early.

He's a minor deity, of people that we are unlikely to actually deal with alot, unless you have us participate in large scale battles.

Also, can we start with quarterstaves? I'm figuring you're going to say no, but I wanted to ask.
