23rd of slate. first year of constant hangovers.
The snow and sleet are finally retreating, although the river and ponds are still frozen. Mithy is hard at work double checking his marked off and restricted areas until fishing season begins. The others whisper behind his back, apparently he's doing the job of a pet, 'fisher gremlins' or some-such. Well, as we don't have any here, Mithy will have to make do.
Constant complaints about a lack of buckets to put water in have met with my sheer disbelief, then grudging acceptance of Kobold stupidity. the lack of liquid water here is a fact I point out every time, but then the idiots seem to want a bucket, as that will fix the problem. At least with TenderRoast drunk we haven't had any unfortunate fires, only a fortunate one that burnt down his makeshift tent, however he has managed to convince one of the dispensable kobolds, the fish cleaner with the hot tail, to share her tent.
Matarata seems to be competent at dismembering the local wildlife, a shalswar at his side. we haven't needed to butcher any rats so far due to his efforts, and I've let him know the dragon looks favourably upon his efforts. it's made half the camp jealous, and the other half envious. I'll have to start sending out some other kobolds recruiting, perhaps the thief wannabe, Temptsfate. It may get us an influx of new kobolds, and will probably end up getting him killed. I can see no downside to his plan.
I've started having a drake hanging around me, and been talking to it occasionally, nodding wisely and such, it seems to impress the hell out of the doglizards, and my status as Shaman is secure. I wanted to go for 'High Priest', or maybe 'Archbishop' but the words didn't mean anything to these cretins. Dragon Shaman it is.
Kaytavo just ran over, and told me the Icewaters have broken small. I assume he m,eans the Thaw has begin to crack the pond or river. Seems worried about the others, as if they'll either fall in or get hit by Mithy on his rounds. well, I suppose he is the one who stitches up the mess.
