That would be great if you could do that Dennis. Please let me know what you find!

Wow, this game is tough. I've been killed twice, both times within three years of starting.

What operating system do you have? If you have windows 7 you should be able to find "Programs and features" under the control panel and that should show a list of all installed programs and you uninstall it from there. Windows XP has add/remove program

Awesome. That scratches off the last known crash issue. I'll put a note in the install package that WMP is required for Imperia to run, since XNA seems to use it exclusively without outside binaries. Thank you so much for taking the time to look into this. I hope you enjoy the game!

Sorry to hear, but for this crowd, they shouldn't be too broken up.   :P One big hint - start slowly. Don't commit your capital's ADM to Edicts until you have a more stable income. Running out of money in this game in BAAAAAAAAAD. Also, butter up your governors and viceroys however you can before embarking on a major Edict. This game is very different from a normal 4X - even though you have a (fairly) large Empire to start with, it is quite sickly (hence your challenge!)

Hi Cainiao!

Imperia uninstalls like any other program; under 'Programs' in the Control Panel, then click on it in the program list and click the 'Uninstall' button. That's it!

By the way, I would *really* like to know if the hotfix solved the international font crashing issue. Could anyone who has had that issue just post their experience with .301 so that I can close that issue down for good? Thanks! EDIT: It has been confirmed on the Imperia boards -it works. Thanks!

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining! I love the idea. I've always felt that games in which you play the role of a leader of a vast empire (planetary or interstellar) gave you way too much power. The idea of a game like this in which you have to bargain and scheme and cajole those around you to get what you want is great.

That is what I did wrong at first, yes. Tried to do too many things at once. The first time, for instance, I tried to build four starbases simultaneously, which sank my treasury into the red within a year and gave me a death message within a few more months.

Right now, my biggest issue is that every colony swiftly runs out of building materials before I can even think about getting a starbase built for them. Is it a better idea to just abandon colonies I can't connect to logistically? Also, is it worth it to build manufacturing outposts on extremely hostile worlds (habitability rating <10) if they have very rich strategic mineral ratings?

Finally, are there other empires in the game yet, or is that in the future?

Couple of questions:

1- How do planets/sectors/systems/the empire generate ADM?
2- How do you move materials to a planet that needs them for construction?
3- What are some good early game build/edict priorities?
4- What does build/upgrade logistical station do?

Good questions! And love the attitude. That's the Bay12ers I know and love.  8)

Consider building logistical stations - they serve the purpose of allowing you to recieve smaller amounts of materials and food, but not send or be a trade hub like a starbase would. For smaller colonies, however, they'd be just the ticket. They take less ADM and cost WAAAAY less money per month. That said, it's not always a bad idea to abandon ship sometimes, but be aware that your empire as a whole will see it as an anti-Nationalist act (giving up territory). It's a balance.

As far as outposts, they cost a lot of money the farther away from a 50 Bio they are. Plus, people are not happy to be stuck on a toxic dirtball (but they get paid more, so they won't leave). Personally, unless you have strat ratings of >90 and a size class of a least 2, I'd pass unless you're desperate for materials. Remember that your planets are slowly mined out over time (unless new deposits are found)

There will not be other Empires, but there will be at least one alien species, and many splinter colonies/sectors that are kind of quasi-Empires. This is down the road, however.

Keep 'em coming!

Couple of questions:

1- How do planets/sectors/systems/the empire generate ADM?
Through the government sector. 1 ADM point is generated for every 300,000 people that work in the Gov sector.

2- How do you move materials to a planet that needs them for construction?
Basically, by creating logistical networks. You have trade hubs at your sector capitals, which distribute to your planets. Planets need to have at least a logistical station (cheaper, but can not send goods to a hub) or starbase (more expensive, but can receive more and can also send excess goods upstream to a hub. There is more on this here: http://imperiagame.wordpress.com/2014/04/27/imperia-concepts-3-trade/. Note that logistical stations are new and not yet added to this description (another to-do!)

3- What are some good early game build/edict priorities?
Really depends on your starting situation. Planets that are already in the negative or close to it need not to be contributing to Edicts right away. Stimulate Economic Sector is usually a good one, as is Survey for Strategic Minerals, especially on manufacturing worlds. Look at planets that need to receive supplies the most, and prioritize logistical stations. Don't think about expanding until you have sector capitals that are firmly profitable. Also, look to create jobs on planets that have high unemployment/unrest by talking to your viceroys. They will often be willing to expand certain sectors, and even contract the government if the planet is severely in the red. Sometimes, it's more effective to change Designations to stimulate the economy then by going through your viceroys, especially smaller planets. Here is some good advice from another player: http://imperia.boards.net/thread/5/strategy-tips-players

4- What does build/upgrade logistical station do?
See above.

Thanks Texashawk.

On an unrelated note, my game currently gets crashed to desktop when ending the turn.  I have a feeling that it's being caused by a planet with 0% posup.  It might be trying to fall below 0 on the next turn and crashing for some programming reason.

Does the game have the save data in a separate file?  If it does I can email it to you if you'd like.
