Noel watched as the man's body imploded in on itself with the crackling of rended air. In a moment there was a brief shockwave and a short shower of gore.

"...No, it isn't. He must have been especially weak-spirited. Hmm. Or perhaps I'm just getting stronger. Or I could have put the spell together slightly out of sequence, which resulted in a more destructive spell... Fascinating... I'll have to study this tome more."

The shaman was muttering to himself as he brushed a piece of viscera from the shoulder of his robe.
