This isn't really the place for a full analysis of your play in the King game, but to take two examples: 1. D1 you parked your vote on someone you knew was town, this looked really suspicious and helped get yourself needlessly lynched. 2. The way you later voted then instantly unvoted was really passive: it looked like you were deliberately trying to avoid drawing attention. You've explained why you acted like this, so I don't think these mark you out as scummy per se. But on the basis of helping town catch scum when you're playing as town, you could have done better. I believe in your abilities, I know you can excel at this.

See, this is bullshit.  You asked him if he took a night action [IE fished to see if he had an active ability] before he said anything at all.  You started the fishing, and you're lying to make yourself look innocent.

I freely admit that I asked him implictly whether he has a night ability. That's an acceptable level of fishing for town in my book. When he claimed the inspect, I followed up with more direct questions. Would you have dropped the issue at that point if you were me?

I probably would have asked if he had anything he wanted to tell me at that point, but I certainly would not have pressured him.

No.  Compare it to NQT's question to TWS, which is the same grade and I ignored.  Those are basically standard RVS questions, which I have no issue with.  The difference is that they are general and theoretical, whereas NQT asked something direct, specific, and game-relevant.

I didn't mean to imply that he'd started things off, but I can see how it would look that way. If I was genuinely trying to decieve you of anything, I'd clearly not be doing a good job about it.

Ha! I'd say every time: a question that is direct, specific and game-relevant is more likely to help find scum than one that is general and theoretical. The latter kind of question mostly serves to get a conversation started.

Look at it a different way, unless Sheep is an idiot (he's not) he'll be able to give a competent answer to my question that will tell me something about him as a player but will probably not get me much closer to finding out his alignment. On the other hand, what I've learned from IG is enough to form part of a confirmation chain come the night. Vastly more useful. What part of this do you disagree with?
