Tiruin - There's no point discussing your performance in the last game, it's not going to help me find scum in this game.
You say you don't like brevity and yet you vote for Darkstar without saying anything. That seems a bit contradictory.
ToasterOkay, let's see:
IG has confirmed me as town.
False.
OK, I should have said "IG has claimed a town inspect on me and that most likely means he's confirmed me as town". I then took steps to ascertain that he wasn't redirected or whathaveyou. I wasn't trying to dupe you.
IG claimed he targeted me, naturally I wanted him to clarify.
Here, you heavily imply that IG initiated the sequence, which is also false.
I didn't mean to imply that he'd started things off, but I can see how it would look that way. If I was genuinely trying to decieve you of anything, I'd clearly not be doing a good job about it.
The difference is that they are general and theoretical, whereas NQT asked something direct, specific, and game-relevant.
Ha! I'd say every time: a question that is direct, specific and game-relevant is more likely to help find scum than one that is general and theoretical. The latter kind of question mostly serves to get a conversation started.
Look at it a different way, unless Sheep is an idiot (he's not) he'll be able to give a competent answer to my question that will tell me something about him as a player but will probably not get me much closer to finding out his alignment. On the other hand, what I've learned from IG is enough to form part of a confirmation chain come the night. Vastly more useful. What part of this do you disagree with?
