AFAIK, they have their own set of Support bonuses, or at least going by Praefectus Screptum's FEF they do anyway. Not sure anyone really tries it outside of that one... except I guess Alexander and Anja in FEF1, but Alex doesn't have a whole lot of Supports anyway...

I believe that the book specifically says that they do not.

That's what I meant, too. Kat in GoR has her two PC supports given to Garrett and Gordon, while Vandertz (NPC leader of the team) is also a C-rank with her - this is because he's an NPC and so doesn't count against the two PCs supports she can have.

Doesn't GoR have a strange point buy system for Supports though? Not sure that's a great example.

Edit: Looked it up, we had it backwards-NPCs do contribute to the Support count, but they can exceed their own.

Ah, oh well. I kinda like the point buy system since it puts it into the player's hands, but that's just me.

It's certainly an alternative. But I think I like the usual method more, myself. It feels a bit less gamey.

I'm with Blade. Supports should be given for solid RPing and not just because we hit certain levels :/

OTOH, there are times when you feel you do do solid RPing and the GM doesn't give you a Support. :V

Okay, so neither system is perfect. I still prefer the one Haspen uses if only because it feels more natural.

@Sirus: Yes, they are. Birdy and I did a scene where Colt confided some of his past and his fears/worries in Jorund, and Jorund tried to help ease his mind the best he could despite his mental limitations, and we didn't get nothing for it. :V

@DP: I'm available, and I'm sure Sirus is too. ^^^ Word of warning, though: Tir's already asked me for one of my C-rank slots, and I'm angling for Noel x Daethwin if Rolep is down, so... I might not have any Support slots to hand out for awhile. XD

As for possible supports, there has been talk of a Jake/Violet support but not much has happened there yet. No-one else really talks to Violet except Noel :v
