Yeah, that looks a lot better.  The neck might be a bit long and I think there are some minor shading tweaks that could be done, but I think that looks really, quite promising.

If you can draw your own, that would be amazing.  All I can do is Frankenstein-work, so creation work is always something I admire. ^_^

Just...ugh. I used to try and use Paint for my first couple of mugshots and battlesprites. I found it horribly awkward to work with and the lack of transparency was the final nail in the coffin. I think Gamerboy introduced me to ASEPRITE and I've been using it ever since.

Context: I was speechless for a bit and my expression explained a lot more than any text, though given the method of portraying expressions--the smiley above would do.

In theory: I couldn't think at all but be amazed at it, then the thought trickled in. Though that's theoretical.

I use paint as well, mostly since I'm just used to it, and I don't really need photoshop or GIMP for editing the sprites. That being said, I might just download GIMP so I can finally splice mugs together in horrible frankensteinian experiments
