Did anybody notice this too?
« on: April 28, 2014, 02:23:48 pm »

So I just happen to be watching the latest My Little Pony episode (yes I know), just chilling when this happened.

All Craftsdwarfship looks to be of the highest quality. Just saying.  :)

Well, it does seem to menace with spikes, but I'm not sure it'd count as a reference.

obviously not a reference. Fortress dwarves can't make artefact books in DF.

This pony mod would beg to differ...

Not that I would know, or anything...

No seriously, ponies are my brother's thing; everything I know about it is with great reluctance...mostly...

Do you also dream in ascii, thetyler101? I think the dwarves are taking over your mind.

That's what I thought. Damn MLP, teaching our children bad science and not being afraid of ponies. >:(

That's pretty clearly Spike the baby dragon.

Not even embarrassed. I've been into MLP since I was a toddler.  8)

Horses can be of height down to 90% of original; I'm not sure if that counts as a pony, but that depends entirely on what the average size of a horse is.

It does count!

Apparently the "large" category of show ponies is roughly 13-14 hands of height, and a typical normal horse is 15ish hands. Thus, 90% would be sufficient to put you into the margins of pony territory by at least some peoples' definitions.

Remember that 90% height = only 73% volume with the same proportions, which is actually a fairly significant difference in size and weight.

For example, average male human height in the U.S. is 5'10", 90% of that would be 5'3" which we would consider quite notably short.
