I think it's how much closer it brings you to 6. So if you go over, it uses the negative, and if you go under, it uses the positive.

Description: A rather imposing figure, standing a good 1.85 meters tall, he sports a bushy, well kept beard and a short hair, both blond. His eye colour is anyone's guess, as he sports two cybernetic eye replacements. He also sports a cybernetic right arm and shoulder, both are of an older design, so no fancy synthskin or anything, just good old gunmetal grey.
Gunther has spend most of his life doing mercenary work in some company or another, never staying in one place for too long. While he does have a general code of conduct, anything other cold blooded murder of civilians can be bought for enough moolah. Having some of his body parts replaced with cybernetics has made him quite adept in maintaining mechanical aparatus. He sometimes claims that the cybernetics sing to him.

Skills:
Standard firearms: Gunther has had some training with standard firearms like pistols, shotguns and assault rifles.
Melee brawling: He isn't going to be jumping around like some martial artist, but he knows how to handle himself in a fistfight. Having a blade inside of your arm tends to help.
Operating vehicles: Gunther's job in the mercenary teams he was in was often driving metal boxes into the thick of battle. Cars, tanks and mech suits are nothing new to him. He has piloted a shuttle or two in his time, but isn't nearly as good at flying those things as he is at piloting metal boxes and mechsuits.
Repairs: He has become adept at repairing mechanical things, as he himself needs regular maintenace as well.
Military freak: Gunther has the ability to memorize anything that has to do with the military, resulting in him being able to recall all kinds of details about guns and other machines of war. Things like how to reroute a laser battery so it fires it's entire battery load in one shot, wrecking the battery or what the dog of the inventor of his own .454 pistol was called are no exception to this.
Abilities: cybernetic man: More endurance and strength than your average human, though due to old versions of his cybernetics also somewhat less flexible.
Grumpy: in a perpetual grumpy mood
Songs of the ghost in the shell: (thinks he) can hear the spirit of machines singing to him. has quite the connection to all things mechanical.
Other: cybernetic arm and shoulder, packs quite a punch, vise like grip.
Cybernetic eyes: zoom function along with different vision modes such has heat, infrared, etc.

Race: Ter'San, a race of humanoid creatures whose face is situated on their torso. They are musuclar and relatively big, though the position of their head makes them look smaller. They have several large fangs in their mouth, and clawed hands. They are usually friendly, though mistrusting.
Description: A large specimen of his kind, with brown skin and red eyes. He is particularly mistrusting and paranoid, looking around every corner for threats to his well being. Ska'Ran wears bronze armor scavenged from a war in which he fought. The armor is rusty, but has jagged spikes that can be used to impale enemies.

No spike damage unless yo want a roll every turn for seeing if you accidentally stab yourself or an ally or embed yourself in a wall or something.
Gonna nerf the missile launcher, that is too big of a weapon for early game, you'll get a las rifle instead.
Energy blaster is gonna nerf also, a high powered weapon will occasional recharge time? No, it will have shit battery life or be a weaker weapon, you can choose.
Chose which nerf you want for the energy blaster and I'll flesh out and balance the rest.
