yeah that's exactly what I did.  I got all my troops together and did a glorious charge, then got my ass handed to me.  It was pretty embarrassing.

Eh, don't feel too bad. Out of my 100+ Skinshifters at your gates, only 25~ lack afflictions. Most of them are pretty crippled and horrible mangled, actually.

...

My other armies are perfectly fine though.

I think I just had the main part of my army set on "Guard Commander" because I've been putting them under my pretender and he had a small squad guarding him.
They've been doing fuck all for the whole battle.

Well I guess that's game over for me, due to such a stupid mistake. Pretender dead, most of my mages dead, most of my armies dead.

Learn to be a gorilla fighter with very limited resources. Fight to the end, taking as many of the bastards with you as you can. Fill your cap with cheap crap and force your enemies to siege you forever, if you want mutual dismay :P

Alternatively: Work some diplomacy and get some of your neighbours to bail you out.

I may go with a). It may be a good idea for Caeloum to try to get a piece of my lands as long as there are any left.
I don't deserve b) since it was a stupid fucking mistake and I don't deserve to be bailed out for it. Even if I was bailed out I'd have to play for the rest of the game with a self-inflicted handicap.

My first impulse after seeing that insanity was to just go AI, but that would have been rude. I'll stick around for a while longer and fight back, but I've pretty much given up on this game. Looking at my pretender would just haunt me.

Well I've been dragging the whole thing out a bit, since I had to deal with some personal stuff recently and didn't want to deal with the ingame suicide I did here.
I'll try to take my turns more swiftly now.

Eh, your situation is not that bad. I was barely holding before that guard commander mistake. Also just wasted 40 blood slaves that could have gone into shiny new vampire. Conclusion: Horde from Hell is not worth the cost.

I know, which makes the whole situation a lot more depressing.
I guess I could survive as a small subject state of somebody, but that isn't my style. It would also take way too long and too many resources to recover from that blunder.

Technically not yet. My werewolves haven't stormed Bogarus yet. Though they are going to soon.

Yeah, I should have focused more on magic as Bogarus.  They don't have any really good troops, just good fodder.

Their sacreds all have stealth and cause unrest, which is interesting.  Their starets also are pretty good, with a wide range of magic.  Most of their mages have really good research as well.

Some of their sacreds also have blood magic too.  I feel like I should have gone the blood magic route with Bogarus.  Anyone have any suggestions for playing them?
