By your own accounts the world would have been better off if i crushed your skulls as well, but childhood loyalty stills my hand. Follow such a creature and I will have no such compunctions.

"Look, D'sparil, I get what you're saying. At the same time, he just told us that this was a test required by something higher than himself. Plus, that smoke thing he did was pretty impressive... I want to learn something like that."

Tayeth takes a step towards D'sparil, grey flames engulfing her hands once again.

"You didn't seem to have a problem with me killing those goblins! Who knows what they could have done with their lives? Why are they even considered evil? Maybe it's because they're constantly under attack by jackasses like yourself that don't understand their ways, and have grown bitter and twisted because they never get the chance to prove themselves to be good! The world isn't black and white, D'sparil!"

Vlad is collecting his winnings.

"The goblins? They were also attacking an innocent town. I would have done the same if it were men... or if it were stoneborn.
He swung back onto the dragon. It pawed the ground and snarled.
And if fate demands the innocent die then DAMN FATE! I'll carve my own path! To choose is a burden we all carry. To choose evil is a weakness that must be disciplined. Attack me, Tayeth, and I'll see you pay for your sins here and now.
He lowered the lance into charging position.

Tayeth just tossed her hammer to the ground and shook her head.

"Are you really going to try to kill me because I disagree with your beliefs about right and wrong? D'sparil, those goblins were being forced to attack the town by him. If you're worried about the innocent dying, wouldn't you rather have his power on our side, at least in a sense, so it can be used to stop that from happening? I'll make a deal with you. I'll stop killing innocent people and join your side, but how I gain the power to save them is up to me. Agreed?"

((Yeah, but we could totally let the big evil man have Ril, flee, and then watch the kaboom.))

((Alright, then... I also love how Vekuran is so delightfully patient throughout this argument. Seems like a cool dude to me.  )
