Vlad pouts.

"Gah! You're lucky I enjoy kissing you. Fine, but you have to tell me about your friend. In exchange..."

Tayeth glances at her hammer.

"I'm going to go ahead and tell you something. That story I told you about this thing was a total lie... I can't tell you the truth about it yet, but... Trust me when I say that it's best for all of us if I don't lose this."

[Playergamer]

"His name is Torgny. He works for the Thieve's Guild, and he lost his leg to an axe a while back. He's still a great informant, but he's been taking the loss hard, and anyone who stops by the village is supposed to check in on him."

"I don't have to hear about the hammer right now."

"And none of you considered taking him to the gnomes? I mean, I don't know if they can help with that, but they're pretty good at creating mechanical things. It might require a little magic to work... It's still worth a shot, though."

"And you're right, you don't."

"He's officially retired, so he couldn't get back in the business even if he wanted to, and anyway, we're not even sure we could get him there safely. There's always a chance we could get stuck, or the sudden movement could reopen the bleeding, however unlikely, and it's just safer not to try."

Kate is in town looking at bounties. Raeghar the red... Vlad... Three toe the six fingered bandit... And one request for female companionship. Kate looks at the last one closely.

As for you, Tayeth, anything we need to finish up here?"
