"What, who-"

He craned his head to look at the sudden hugger.

"Wait.... Kate? It is you! And Tayeth and Vlad?! Ha!"

He swept Kate up into a deep huge with his armoured arms.

Kate licks his cheek.
"Thought I shmelled dirt."

[Lyeos]

"Wait... You're that D'sparil?!"

Tayeth rushes over and hugs D'sparil too!

((Hugs! Hell yes!))

[Playergamer]

"Yay, wooh, we're all friends, and D'sparil isn't going to try to stab me. Pardon me if I don't join in on the hug, I'm not exactly a hugging person. How's life been treating you, Mister Suddenly Very Scary rockman?"

Tayeth is going to get me killed some day, I just know it.

[GiglameshDespair]

"Oh, it's been alright. Got taken in by a different Hand of the clan. They taught me how to fight, how to smell the stone you can shape. Realised I didn't like injustice, so worked with a justicar for a while. Turns out criminals can run fast."

He grinned.

"My dragon is faster. So you've become a pretty thief? Ah, I wouldn't stab you. On foot like this? I'd crush your legs with my mace, drag you to whatever justice this place runs. Also..."

Easily picking up the two women hugging him, he strides towards Vlad.

"It's been far too long. Come here..."

This is gonna be a mass group hug if he wants it or not

[Prophet]

((I have a feeling that this justice thing is going to be bad for Lukas.))

[Playergamer]

"Petty thief? That's just insulting. I don't steal purses and necklaces, I steal hearts and minds. I also stab hearts and minds, but different time, different place.

As for the hug... oh, come on, no."

Vlad resists for a while, but eventually gives in. Someone a bit more astute may have noticed that he didn't resist very hard.

[Lyeos]

"No, you steal purses and necklaces. Some other stuff too. That's how we get most of our money."

Tayeth does her best to hug Vlad too, with a small smile hidden by her scarf.

[Playergamer]

"...Well, true. The money isn't important! It's a form of art, not some stupid job. It requires concentration, preparation, and a good knife in case things go wrong."

[Lyeos]

"And a friend willing to kill everyone when you make a huge mistake."

[Playergamer]

"That... actually doesn't help most of the time. You killing everyone is the reason I stopped taking you with me, especially since "a huge mistake" appears to be flexible in your mind."

[GiglameshDespair]

If D'sparil had had eyelids, he would have risen them. The hug tightened momentarily on Vlad and Tayeth until it was crushing.

"An then one day someone like me but less friendly catches you. Then things go poorly."
He smiled and the crushing eased.
"I hope you will find an alternative source of income, yes? Of the people who's skulls I'll crush with my bare fists - you're not one of them, so please, stay on the right side of the law."

His voice dropped to a gravelly hiss.

"You as well should have no love for murderers."

[Lyeos]

"I promise that from now on, I will do my best not to murder, maim, or in any way harm anyone without good reason... Please don't kill me?"

"And Vlad, not stealing candy for me is a huge mistake. I don't care if you would have had to go out of your way for it, you still should have thought about me."
