Help finding a tv series
« on: April 23, 2014, 06:15:12 am »

So my mom brought up a kids show we apparently used to watch today. I only vaguely remember it, and she seems quite intent on figuring out what it was.

What we figured out was that the show featured a frog, and this frog was a detective of some sort (Mom describes him as "like Sherlock Holmes) and the show was apparently British, or as I believe based on some British literature. He appeared with several other creatures such as badgers.

I'm pretty sure that the characters name was actually "Toad"...which given this forum, is kinda funny, but as for physical features it was an older dignified frog and wore a monacle.

Anyone have any ideas what this could be?

Though it doesn't really fit with the detective part, this could be an adaption of The Wind in the Willows, judging from the names/animals.

There are several animated movies and a British TV series from the 80s, in stop-motion.

Hmm...that certainly looks like what I was remembering, but it doesn't seem to fit with what my mom described. Well one mystery down, one to go! :P

Actually, you were totally right, congrats on your sexy detectiving.
