Questions about behavioral changes in a friend
« on: April 21, 2014, 10:38:53 pm »

So as I mentioned lately in the sad thread there was some pretty hard hitting issues that hit someone really close to me. And while she's moved from that and started to be more herself, I've started to worry that there's been some lasting damage.

Janet used to be really emotive, warm, friendly and talkative. Since the argument that set that all in motion she's done a 180. She's gotten almost to the point of seeming like she's suffering from Flattened or outright flat effect. As in she's not expressing herself at all emotionally through her voice or facial expressions.

I know I have some issues like that myself, but nowhere near what she's going under right now.

Right now she's doing alright but I just wanted opinions on this. Should I see if I can convince her to see someone? Or is this something that should pass with time?

It's going to be on her to want to come to you, or talk to you, or whoever, or do whatever. Just let Janet be Janet, and she'll come around. Sometimes it just takes time. Show interest in her needs, but don't go overboard. Finally, if she doesn't want you to talk about relationship issues on B12, don't. Lock this thread.

Holy crap, why did I not start watching One Punch Man earlier? This is the best thing.
probably figured an autobiography wouldn't be interesting

I guess I was more worried about if this meant anything. Maybe I'm just being a worrywart. I mean we still talk and stuff, just things are different I guess.
