Before we go around walking into the horizon, perhaps we could do something sensible and requisition a vehicle?
Move towards the camp leader and requisition a vehicle, of any kind.

"Eh? Scout mission? I think you held my profile upside-down while reading. I'm not some freaking boyscout, I'm DIGGER!"

Point that it is ridiculous to send a fortification-oriented trooper (even two troopers) on a scout mission, but still go alongside with others.

Science is always important. But it needs more flaming cats. Can't we build bridge-based catapults and fling flaming cats at the dust and goo?

It's time for the ATHATH Death Counter to increase once more in celebration for the end of the world.

Ryan leans against a (probably nonexistant) wall.

Wait until the vehicle is requested. If it is given to us, drive it to where the camp is supposed to be (allow everybody that fits to enter said vehicle). If not, just walk alongside the others

((Also, I claim purple))

"Fair enough. We can't spare much at the moment, so this is all you can get right now."
He gives you a jeep.

"A digger? Well, you will need to serve another purpose once you come to the camp. If it's destroyed, you are to dig a tunnel back to this camp so that we can have a safer way beetwen them."

"Move 'side, son. If anyone's taking point and being the most likely to be killed first, it's me.
Move ahead od playergamer towards the camp.

"Got it."

Head towards the other camp. Take the point.
You all get into the jeep and drive off towards the camp.
(4,2,3)
After about half an hour of seeing no bugs in sight, three human-sized mantises jump out of the bushes and move towards your the jeep.

I'd like to ask that everyone puts their sheet at the bottom of their post for convinience.

The best bugs are those who are reduced to a squishy paste, I say!

Ram them with the jeep. Kick anyone who tries to jump into the vehicle

Age: 37

Skill: bug-stomping
Inventory: steeltoed combat boots. Cleaning rag (what? too many bug guts and it gets disgusting!)

Dig brains out from any mantis that comes close enough!
Auto sucess.
You prepare to smash any bugs that come close to you.

Shotgun them to death.
(6!) You fire a shot at one of the Manti, hitting it directly in the chest. (1) The Mantis falls down lifeless, almost ignoring the hole that used to be it's chest.
Mantis 3 ded.

Fire a few incendiary shells at the approaching creatures.
(1) You attempt to fire your shotgun at one of the Manti, but it jams as you're about to fire.
Condition: Jammed Gun - Requires single turn to unjam.

Hey, how about you let the guy with driving experience, you know, drive?

Attempt to comandeer vehicle from purple-worded usurper
He gives you control of the jeep.
Wa-wait there! I just saw the opportunity, you can have, dammit! But we have bugs to stomp!

Auto sucess. You'l now counter attack any Manti that attack you.
ENEMY TURN
Quote from: Mantis 1
Skitter towards enemy. KILL.
(4) Mantis 1 starts moving towards the jeep.
Counter attack: (6) Ryan.
(6) Ryan kicks the mantis directly in the chest, piercing it's guts and spillling them onto Ryan's boot and the jungle floor. (4) The Mantis seems to take the loss surprisingly well, advancing onward and attacking (4) Ronald. (2) It prepares to swing one of it's claws, but Ronald simply moves slightly to the side and avoids it's attack. (2) He tries to swing his shovel towards it's head, buthe Mantis dodges away in time.

Quote from: Mantis 2
Same thing as Mantis 1.
(1) Mantis 2 tries to follow the example of Mantis 1, but trips over some vines.
