Grab myself armour, preferably with a full helmet. Also grab any combination of weapons that includes a shield and go aid the guard

Name: Dave
Age: ?
Alive or undead? Alive?
Appearance A short humanoid man made entirely out of yellow sand.
Ht: 4.5 Feet
Wt: 98 lb
Powers: Can use the sand that makes up his body (and sand he sleeps for more than an hour on) for putting people to sleep, controlling dreams, and making objects. The downsides are that because he's made of sand he can't talk and the objects he makes are made of compressed sand meaning if he loses concentration they just fall apart.

Question. What are you gonna do if it rains? You'll clump up and fall to pieces.

If it has a beach Dave has been there sleeping through the entire battle surrounded by a slowly growing circle of Dreamsand.

Make my way to Athri's forces. Offer to join as an extra blade and caster.]
EDIT: While still looting anything I come across, of course.

No decent loot appears. Athri's forces are surpringly large, getting close to her will be an impossibility. Approaching a man who looks to be a lesser priest causes the man to look upon you with disdain before switching to his benevolent priest persona "Welcome child, of course lady Athri's benevolence requests your strength. In fact, i think we're about to begin."  You catch sight of Athri as she points down the road. A deep rumble emanates from the earth nearly knocking you off your feet.
Observe the fighting patiently but don't get involved yet. See if I can spot any weapon or armor shops that have been abandoned and if I can head to it. Or any armories.
you can either reach the Romek Armory beneath you or you could go and engage in some looting. Though that would require you to cross the soon to be battlezone.
Try to hide my approach by a cloud of sooty smoke, directed toward the ritualist.
(1) in spite of the fact that he appeared to be deep in mystical concentration, the sudden movement of your massive body and Athri's tremor has shaken him out enough to spot you. "Who in Zeim's name are you?"
Grab myself armour, preferably with a full helmet. Also grab any combination of weapons that includes a shield and go aid the guard
. He finds it. The guard captain is here and looks tense while his men chatter excitedly. This is the biggest fight in a generation and they're getting to see it.
Attack the fish man with my poisoned claws.
(5) You lunge, but Athri's tremor causes it to be scratch damage. Though the hallucinogenic toxin will probably knock him out soon anyway.
If it has a beach Dave has been there sleeping through the entire battle surrounded by a slowly growing circle of Dreamsand.
The riverbank here was reknowned for its golden sand. It muffles the sound of the tremor though you are still aware of it.
Use my superior aquatic mobility to escape from the deranged guy who's now attacking me
(1)the tremor knocks you into the sewage, when entering you bash your skull against the wall. Stunned, you are dragged by the current away from the crazy man.

((Lol, sorry TamerVirus. I looked at your action to check if you saw the evil tentacled fish man, but never checked your character sheet to check if you were the evil tentacled fish man. I'll look after you till you wake up, our characters are actually rather synergistic.))

Follow the fish man. When he awakes interrogate him.

Go to the armory, acquire a full set of plate armor including a helmet with a face plate. Agree to help the guards if needs be.

GUnbar checks his helmet is on securely, then takes his shield and mace and joins the other guardsmen.

Join the guardsmen in guardering. Guard the tower.

Follow along with Athri's forces, and stand ready for combat.
