Looks like using the tree as a club is the most popular idea. This might become either fun or !!FUN!!.

Deduce what sort of tree it is - like oak, ash or whatever it could be - and what wood from this tree is used for in magic / its magic properties or spiritual meaning. You know - the works.

COLLECT BLOOD AS REAGENT

It seems to be some sort of ebony, but the leaves have decayed, which means that it is now kept alive by magic.
Ebony is popular for wandmaking and enchanted ironwood equipment, and the likes. So far as you know they don't tend to bleed red sap.

You could collect the sap if you had any container.

Stab the sword into the tree and use that as a foothold.

Chop the three down with ye sword!
+1. It has to DIE!!

That.... that's not what you can accomplish with a sword.

We've tried climbing the tree, hitting the tree and snorting the tree. I propose digging it up and using it as a club.
You can have my +1. All of it.
And mine as well. Because oversized weaponry is the best.

Hint: The tree is important, but not in the way you think it is.
Attempt to democratically elect it as the political representative of the village. After all, if it's deserted, then you're the only person here and hence you're the only person with any chance of voting.

Say Hi to the blood-tree.

Tell it it's pretty.

Stab it again if it responds in any way.

Stab it unless it responds like a proper lady, hire an elocution instructor.

Build makeshift broom with which to shoo away vampires.

Wrestle the tree into submission with your crazy powerful witchhunter muscles

Go right whenever the next area decides to be drawn!
+1.

Go right, we can do stupid Asshat things to that tree after we do stupid asshat things to the evil entity nearby.

You see the village's sign, which seems to be in good repair.

Slash the sign! Do not trust inanimate object!
Indeed. Cleanse the world from its filth!
(We might want to read it first though. Unless we want to puzzle it back together at a later point in time..)
