Airdropping supplies doesnt work all that well with forts.

And helis can, and have been, taken down with small arms.

We're trying to avoid a siege. We don't have the numbers or the logistical assets to drag this fight out for very long.

What if we use my combat engineer plans, without the combat engineers? Specifically:
Replace the two CE squads with one more squad of infantry and a squad of militia. Do the same maneuver as I stated, but once they reach the wall the militia and one infantry squad will climb the wall. The third squad will provide covering fire.

At the very least, this will give the enemy a good distraction from the main eastern assault. If it succeeds, will will have the better part of two squads on the wall; even if one of them is only cannon fodder.

And besides, if we can just drive on in why dont we?

So lets hold off on the plan voting until bossman tells us if we can sneak in trucks of troops by saying its ammo.
You cannot, because the trucks are not in the colors or styling of the Royal Krimov Army nor is the fortress expecting a supply convoy for many months if your reports are to be believed. Of course waiting for that convoy is not an option as both of your contractors want the fortress in your possession within a week, whatever plans you come up with they can't be prolonged to long.

whenever it is we attack, and i say this again, it should be at night to have a few minutes before the entire fortress is mobilized.

Just got back and read through the previous plan, and I agree. We should hit about 0300 in the morning, as that's when most guards are halfway through the night shift and very tired. We hit with surprise and speed, trying to take the western gate quickly, and shell just inside the walls to prevent a counter-attack. We need speed on our side, as a long siege doesn't fit well with our "Raider" style, does it?

We shell the east gate to suppress reinforcements. Maybe deploy a few infantry squads as well - remember, that's all they have. We take our assault vehicles and mortars out to the western gate and breach it will cannon and RPG fire, then move in while the mortars provide fire support.

And my vehicle squad - right now I only have a Tiger and infantry squad that I've claimed. I'll gladly give up the infantry, if I had more vehicles. Someone else claimed the extra set of Talons, unless they feel kind enough to let me have them :P

+1 if the infantry sneak as close as possible and open fire at the last moment so they spend as little time in the open as possible.

I have a question. Do they ever send out scouts? Maybe we can snatch one to get some Intel.

I also have a few questions:
1. Do we have access to some kind of explosive charges? Can we mock some up with, say, a couple of howitzer/RPG/mortar shells?
2. When Will we have access to the stats of  our new units (militia + trucks)? Just out of interest.
3. What are the blacked-out sections of the map? Unknown terrain?

Also, here's an alternate battle plan:

I would ask why fire can burn two men to death without getting hot enough to burn a book, but then I read "INEXTINGUISHABLE RUNNING KAMIKAZE RADIOACTIVE FLAMING ZOMBIE" and realized that logic, reason, and physics are all occupied with crying in the corner right now.

Any thoughts?

Black areas are mountains. Remember this fortress is on a mountain pass so that the area can be held on to.

Just a note, units lost are replaced at the end of the battle. We can just send one of our ammo trucks to blow up against the gate, if we want to.
