Warzone - Mission 2, Capture Mezark Fortress
« on: April 17, 2014, 11:09:24 pm »

Warzone is a wargame that I've been working on that focuses on making a semi-realistic combat system where armies are able to duke it out and fight with strategy, and tactics forming a large part of a player's victory. The purpose of this is to help iron out, modify, and just outright change the rules so they work better and do what I want them to so throughout the testing here it is highly likely that the rules will change drastically. For this test you (the players) will all take control a single faction, to be specific a mercenary group being hired by a rebel organization, and your job is to choose missions and carry them out effectively and ensure that they each end in victory. At first your forces will be a bit small, and limited, but as you finish missions you'll get to begin expanding your faction and your units will start gaining experience through the battles the take part (and survive) in.

----

Krimov is a tyrannical dictatorship where any rebellion, or uprising is crushed with extreme prejudice and those who are even rumored to be going against the government are persecuted, and removed. Of course the times are changing, and a major shift has begun to occur as all throughout Krimov a faction known as the Free People's Resistance begins a mass rebellion that involves not only the native Krimov people, but several mercenary factions one of which happen to be yours. Your group has been hired to assist in the liberation of Krimov at all costs, and the payment you're getting is vast, enough to create a small army and even beyond that you're promised more rewards and even loot as you complete the tasks they leave to you.

Mercenary Group: What is your mercenary group like?

A) Recon/Infiltration - As it stands your outfit is most suited to recon, ambush, and infiltration missions as it consists entirely of infantry, specialists, and some light recon vehicles.

B) Raiders - Your outfit is setup for speed, what forces you have are infantry with quick transports, light vehicles, and a few pieces of artillery that you dug up out of some old warehouse.

C) Garrison - This type of outfit is geared towards defending positions, with some engineering units, a handful of AA and artillery, and a decent amount of infantry it could hold its own against enemy forces if it had the time or terrain to dig in.

D) Armor Support - While you have a decent amount of infantry at your disposal the vast majority of your starting funds were spent on purchasing some tanks and and few artillery pieces.

E) Aerial Support - Your outfit is made up of infantry, and a few light vehicles backed with what few attack and transport helicopters you could get your hands on giving you a rather large amount of maneuverability.
