Ok so should we take our time with marriage we are young and we need to be kinda picky and 3man i like your plan but i don't think our lord would like for us to try and steal his guards away we could try and train a militia force from some lowborn or we could attract some lowborn with a small salary if we don't want to lose some of our workforce. (I name thee lord Mr.bunny the third of bunnlandia hugs bunny toy with crown on its head.)

Well we're NOT bribing them to come over as much as were looking for Ex-Mercenaries or even just lowborn who want to fight/gaurd. We WILL need to find someone capable of leading/training them however..so we may need to BRIBE them but that's just one person.

Leave the cyborg (people don't like having to listen to them) an it's better he works. Find a retired army captain or something that's partly human that can lead. Don't want full alien since that would mean a possibility of them being a rebel subversive.

Edit: Half bloods are what I'd prefer.

We need to create more jobs so that we can attract more lowborn. Maybe find a hobbies that our character can do while wait for these things to get done.

Year 1, November
Your villagers chop down some more trees. They get down quite a load, and they seem pretty sturdy and without termites. You order a wall built, with house repairs a priority. The progress for rebuilding the houses is slow due to the cold, but at least nothing bad happens. The wall goes better. You have it halfway done by the end of the month.

You send out traders to head to Lord Camden's lands to recruit some militia or ex-military, as well as craftsmen for the warchilite. They don't find plenty of militia, but an old sellsword with a bad leg says he could train the militia. All he needs is bedding, housing, and food. They find more luck finding the craftsmen. Two skilled warchilite craftsmen come along, and they are renowned in Lord Camden's market.

You ask Toel'ix to help you with your bartering skills and interactions with other nobles. You learn quite a bit, and you feel slightly more confident talking to nobles and high ranking people.

Horse riding, Pottery, maybe painting or music if if we can get the supplies for it are some of the hobbies we could take up. So what should we work on next? (Find a computer and play Starlord [Sci-Fi TSG] on bay12.)

nah. Let's just hold off construction and tell people to eat and have fun for the rest of the month while we practice more etique. Except get the Craftsmen and the warrior situated with food. We'll talk to them about what kinds of things they can make with the warchillite and how much they are valued. Have the traders {all of them!} present so they can put in some input.

We start January with completing the wall and crafting trinkets with the warchilite. As well as other things.

+1. I guess that we don't want anybody getting hurt while working out in the cold.

Year 1, December
Snow has begun to fall. You halt production in the meanwhile, a well-taken break by the villagers. They spend their time indoors by the fires. Meanwhile you get the new craftsmen and the old warrior their new houses. Then you get the craftsmen and the traders in a meeting in the dining room in your house, which is quite small. You discuss what they can do with the warchilite, and how best they can sell it.

"M'lady. Qur'than and I have taken years to perfect our craft. We can make many fine crafts with warchilite, depending on size and quantity. It seems, m'lady, you've been blessed. We can make statues out of your warchilite, or decorate other crafts with it. We can make you jewelry, necklaces, scepters, anything you ask."

The craftsman, whose name is Qur'toth, places a beautiful tiara on your head, made entirely of warchilite, a gleaming green that shimmers in sunlight. "A small token of gratitude. A mere glimpse of our skill."

A trader steps up. M'lady, many of the other traders and I have heard tell of a faire come spring. If we have enough goods, and your grace, we can sell it during the faire market. Many wealthy merchants and nobles will attend."

You also talk with the warrior afterwards. He's a tall, gaunt-looking man, with too many scars on his face. His hair is graying, and he seems past his days. He notices your concern of his age. "Fear not, m'lady. Time has withered my body, but sharpened the mind. What I lack in strength I make up for in knowledge. Gimme a few hard-working boys, and I'll make'em sure men. I could train you, too, if it pleases m'lady. I don't much care for the traditional men-fight-women-sow deal. If you can stab someone, you're good."

He also says he can reprogram the cybervant with more updated fighting styles. When you ask him his name, he asks that you just call him Captain.
