((Knot used it for forum games, he was able to access the internet in the coffee shop after entry for foruming. Although that could have been because the coffee shop was in both worlds at once for a period of time and if they tried now it would fail.))

You decide to quell the natural urge to explore, and continue working on the RtD. A few minutes later, the update's perfect. No grammar errors, didn't miss anyone, and the story has no inconsistencies so far. You go to post, and--
No internet. Of course.

We just used a tablet to chat. Can we seriously think of no way to update our forums games? This is disgraceful, we are the most incompetent possession spirit ever.

Hm. I was hoping you hand't realized your nature yet. Ah well. My Fate is already sealed, so there's not much to do but get prepared for it. It is nice to visit the Transcendental Plane again, though. Shame it's empty.
Anyways, I might as well describe the inside of my current home to you. It's a fairly empty cavern, with a whetstone sitting in the corner, since this place did sample from my armory. I've got a small stash of food and water in the back, as well as my - Actually, I'll not reveal that to you. Wouldn't want the Spirit to get that. Anyways, Cain should have made contact with Vivian soon here. Aaand...There he is.

What "Fate" and what would be the consequence for us attempting to avoid it? Time is not predetermined and it should be possible to avoid it. All you need to do if we can dodge whatever this "Fate" is would be avoid causing paradoxes until your timestream catches up with the furthest ahead that you have influenced, which could be solved by hiding somewhere quiet with food nearby until it is caught up.

I'm afraid I can't say what my Fate is, for two reasons: The Spirit is listening, and if I told you, you'd try to stop it. It would also change how you influenced the others, which I can't allow. Time on the Transcendental Plane, while not exactly predetermined, must be upheld as closely as possible by those who've seen into it, such as myself, to prevent it from falling into utter nothingness. Also, due to my role as the Informant, I have intrinsically radically changed the future, just by my existence. Even if I could wait out my space of influence, that would be an infinitely long time. Unfortunately, my Fate is immutable at this stage, if the Spirit is to be kept at bay.

Doing so would allow the Spirit to hear it as well. You ARE inextricably bound to him, after all.

Tied to. Formed as one. Anything you can experience, the Spirit experiences as well. Anything he does, you do as well. Hence why you can body-hop along with him, and why I need to be careful about what I say.

Not innately, but his master is.

Wouldn't if the spirit is tied to us, and whoever the master is can control the spirit, wouldn't that give the person who is the spirits master control of us?

What spirit?
Good, you aren't terribly well informed yourself. This makes my job much easier.
Well. Um. Ok, this makes things easier, I guess. Or harder, depending on how much of ability to problem-solve comes from the host. Seriously, how are we supposed to update our games when we're stuck in the head of an idiot?
