The War of the Elements [TSG] This game is very, very dead.
« on: April 16, 2014, 08:30:33 pm »

The world was shrouded in darkness, and death was brought unto mankind. Life's sole solace was the few heroes not yet dead or dying. They were fabled to be the key to driving back the darkness, and righting what was once wrong. This, however, is unimportant for now.

Your alarm begins beeping, and you awake reluctantly. According to clock, it's going off entirely too early; two hours early, in fact. You briefly consider just going back to sleep, but you'd likely just feel worse afterwards. Might as well wake up while you can; falling asleep in physics again would probably be a bad idea with exams coming up. Your first instinct is get onto Bay12 and update some of your forum games, but then you remember that the internet had gone down in the campus, and they still hadn't managed to fix it.
Starbucks is still open, and knowing him, Cain probably hasn't even gone to sleep yet. Of course, you could always try to study for a little while, but that sounds immensely boring. Minor ADD is NOT conducive to studying. What to do, what to do...

((This one I don't expect to last long. It's fairly low-maintenance, and the chances of you guys actually doing much of anything before I decide to drop it is very slim. However, this does currently mean that I'm running 4 games, with 2 actually being actively updated (Color Quest and A New World). I have no life, though, so this is what I do while normal people are going to parties or drinking or kicking basketballs or whatever normal people do.))

Go to Starbucks and use their internet and caffeine.

You grab your laptop, and head out to Starbucks. The trip doesn't take long, and soon the coffee is acquired. As you begin writing up an update for a small RtD you recently started, you notice that there is currently no sound in the coffee shop. Looking up, you're now currently the only person in the shop. You glance over to the window, and find that you're currently sitting atop a floating island. You feel that you should be more panicked about this than you actually are, but for some reason, you're totally calm.

Exit the shop and explore the island.

You decide to quell the natural urge to explore, and continue working on the RtD. A few minutes later, the update's perfect. No grammar errors, didn't miss anyone, and the story has no inconsistencies so far. You go to post, and--
No internet. Of course.
You save the post to your desktop as a .txt, hoping you get a connection later to post. A few seconds after, a chat program you're certain you've never heard of, much less installed, pops up on your screen.
